Walking distance to restaurants and shops(a plus) but small rooms and no TV, small fridge or microwave as stated on the website. We had to upgrade to a "supposedly one of the best room" but to our suprice had two rooms divided by a wall and a small TV on top of the entrance door. Overall it was just ok(and it's not a compliment).

Good clean hostel in a well positioned location. Pricing online is optomistic we were offered a 51% discount; low season; to find we were paying the normal price. The manager said this was the booking sites fault ? ? Which he had asked to be corrected repeatedly. Standard roms are very dark but comfortable and clean. The upgraded rooms are brighter up the hill and quieter. Adequate kitchen, hostel sells breakfast and evening meals, which we did not try. Staff very friendly but not empowered to make small local decisions.

We did not have a reservation and it was 9:45pm and they had one room available with 4 small beds for $47 that we shared with noone. There was a cute little balcony directly over where I parked my car. The wifi do not super well and the shower water temperature was dodgy. We had to turn the handle to a certain position for it to be warm. Overall not a bad place.

This is a hostel with everything you need and a good hostel should have. The main reason for the fifths star is the very good and helpful service for local tours and all kind of information. Had a short but very good time.

We rented the place through Airbnb and on the day we arrived the person who was corresponding with us was off work so we lost communication. Took us an extra hour trying to find the place. The image they posted on Airbnb looked so different from the actual rooms so we were a little disappointed. We were expecting a wood cabin but instead we got a shack. I don't think the shack was terrible if we weren't expecting a 2 floor cottage room. But the overall scenery and locations are very convenient. There are also wild capuchins roaming in the trees. Once you check in, the hostel staff was relatively pleasant. A weird moment was that they were surprisingly stingy with their "premium" tea bags which you are only allowed to get if you bought their breakfast package. They offered free tea bags in the kitchen beside it but we didn't know until we got our hand slapped about the DO-NOT-TOUCH premium tea. It's very cold up in the mountain at night so you'll definitely need the warm cup at night. Be sure to check out the area behind the reception building. There are hammocks and an outdoor gym (area with equipments really) there should you want to use it on a sunny afternoon. Just a FYI.

Nice place, clean beds, they have hammocks outdoors and a mini "tourist information office" by the reception with a really nice guy who has all information and can help you organize everything.
Beautifully decorated outdoors area.
On the downside - breakfast was a bit disappointing and there was only cold water in the shower.
But all in all a very nice place to stay!

Perfectly located just off the main triangle, which is a 2 minute walk but means it is quieter at night. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm that was actually more like 2 x 3 bed dorms, which was great. This is genuinely one of the cleanest hostels I've stayed in - rooms were serviced every day like a hotel, shared shower was spotless, with really comfortable beds and pillows and good quality linen. The kitchen is really well equipped including toaster, microwave and electric kettle and is also spotless. Staff from the bar man to the guy helping you book trips were also super friendly and helpful.

This is a nice place. It was off the main road a bit which made for quiet nights. There is even some hammocks to hang out in. We stayed in a private room. It had hot water as well. Breakfast was available, but not included. The guy who helps book tours is very helpful and friendly. I'd say for the price, the private room may not quite be worth it, but the dorms definitely would be.
