Lovely, charming place! Amazing location!
Depends what you're looking for on this one. Service isn't great, but it isn't horrible either. The place is very clean.
Breakfast included, but it's not big, and you have to buy further breakfast plates. I ate 3 "breakfasts" today, and I don't consider myself a huge eater.
Beach is amazing! Long, shallow, soft sand with no seaweed or rocks or anything. Lots of sand dollars. 3-5 ft waves for us in December.
We brought our five kids with us, 10 yrs and under, and had a great time. I'd recommend it!response / report this review -

Super location. Stunning view of the ocean from your safari tent. Sloths and monkeys are daily visitors. Staff is friendly, accomodating and knowledgeable. Overall excellent experience.

The setting is gorgeous and laid back, and the staff feels more like extended family than employees. By far the nicest "tent" you will ever stay in, dry and comfortable as could be in the heaviest of rain. We will be back!

Great accommodations, pristine and uncrowded beach, very nice caretakers. We visited in early June and has the place to ourselves. That means the town of Matapalo is also pretty empty, with a few of the stores closed, but no matter, since the minisupers were still open and other towns are a short drive.

Fantastic place, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, stunning beach. Ideal base from which to explore or just chill by the water (pool or sea!). A novel way to spend a few nights it's not like traditional camping and none of the home comforts are missing! highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our time here. Laid back mgmt, but responsive when we needed something. Nice pool, steps from the beach, the "tent" was fine, with a mini fridge and OK beds. Bathroom was nice hard walls, U.S. style toilet-shower situation. Hot, of course - it's a tent - but with the beautiful surroundings, who cares? Common kitchen to share with other guests, hostel-style. Simple fresh wonderful breakfast prepped for us each day. For the price, it was awesome. Whole family (dad, not-too-adventuresome mom, and teen daughters) will always have very fond memories of this place.
