This hotel is amazing! There are about fourty suites. It is on an 11 acre tract of rain forest. Great beach front with rain forest location. Pricey and worth every dollar. Excellent service, food and drink and venue. Our balcony over looked the ocean. Private hot tub. The balcony was large as was our suite. We arrived and didn't want to leave. Very relaxing and refreshing experience. We highly recommend this venue. A short walk on the beach to town.

Our stay at Arenas del Mar was the best part of our Costa Rica vacation. We stayed here and at Tabacon. Tabacon, although well known and highly rated, was not nearly as nice or enjoyable of an experience as what we had at Arenas del Mar.

The photos on Arenas del Mar website left me unsure of the layout of their resort and amenities they offered. However, we were happy to arrive to find a dining area on the beach with fantastic night lighting and ambiance, two pools, a large private beach, and staff eager to tell you about the area and learn more about you and your family.

Everyone there from Alex the driver, Allessio the waiter, Jorge the golf cart driver, Alex the rainforest tour guide, Mauricio the knowledge nature guide onsite, .. all worked extra hard to make our stay comfortable and special.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit Costa Rica. It was by far the best part of our trip!

Staff are outstanding in service and friendliness. Private beach is amazing with warm ocean. Food is top notch. Views are great with lots of amazing nature (sloths, monkeys, armadillos, raccoons, frogs, toucans and other birds).

Want to know where you need to spend your next vacation? Arenas del Mar. It's without a doubt one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The staff greeted us with open arms, seeing to our every need. It was above and beyond any hotel stay I have ever had. From the prompt pick up with Rupert (at the most darling airport ever in Quepos), to Alexander, who checked us in.This place has got it going on.

The food is top shelf at both restaurants, Mirador and Playitas. One of my favorite memories was having breakfast while looking for whales in the Pacific. You might even see a monkey or two, or ten!! The birdsssss! So beautiful. I can't wait to go back. The bars delivered as well. I had my first Monkey cocktail upon arrival. It wasn't my last

The lay of the land is outstanding. Just walking around the property was always an adventure. Plus, if you didn't want to walk there was always a golf cart handy to whisk you away to wherever. Have I mentioned how much we loved the staff????? Well, they are AMAZING.

In a nutshell, just go. Go and bask in the beauty and wonder of this amazing resort. The rooms and views are absolutely perfect. I'm not sure there's a better place to stay in all of Costa Rica. Honestly. Did I mention the staff? Well, if not, they are spectacular. We can't wait to go back!! Pura Vita!! Love me some ADM!!

excellent, i stayed here for two nights with my Mom and my Nephew and everything was so perfect, since the guys in the frontdesk to the Bellboys, and the Restaurant, the breakfast it's awesome and with an incredible view of the ocean.
The rooms are very comfortable and big, you can relax in the Jacuzzi in your room front to the see while you listen the waves.
I really recommend it, it was a really cool experience, but the best of all is the Staff who is incredibly friendly and warm, the are concern about everything that you may need.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. You are treated like family and they can't do enough for you. One tip is don't book the coastering excursion unless you are very fit. Also the French toast for breakfast is superb.

Overpriced for what you get. Very crowded and noisy with very bossy guards. Most of the animals are well hidden due to the crowds, you won't see much here. The problem is that although forests and beaches are public in Costa Rica (free to access), corruption thrives, where the rich can simply buy an access path to a public place and then charge you for going there! This seems to be the case about many beaches like Manuel Antonio or Playitas beach near Manuel Antonio. Hotel Arenas del Mar 5* resort has closed an entrance for local people or tourists to this secluded beautiful beach! Hotel Arenas del Mar charges £70 per person if you want to walk through their footpaths to get to this amazing beach! They don't own the beach, but they own the entrance. Sickening example of a corrupted bussiness. Have your own opinion.

The hotel, service and location are awesome. One of the best locations for beach access. My favorite thing to do there is to have dinner. Not just any dinner. If you are looking to a romantic special date with your partner then book a private table on the beach.

The experience is like out of a movie. Tiki torches, flowers, sounds of the ocean and sand at your feet. You feel like you are the only one on the beach for an exquisite dinner for 2. By far an experience not to miss.

One of the best hotels in Manuel Antonio with privileged access to TWO beaches. The hotel also has two pools, two delicious restaurants (one down on the beach), swim-up bar, beach service (food/drink, chairs, towels for guests only), and a fantastic spa. All the rooms have king beds, so it's perfect for couples, however, families can adjoin two rooms together. The service and rooms, especially the suites with jacuzzis on the balcony, are hands-down 5-stars. This is one of my favorite hotels in Costa Rica with the best location in all Manuel Antonio! ~Theresa Parent, Central America Vacation.
