We ended our Costa Rica vacation in Manuel Antonio. What an amazing experience at Los Altos!! The elevators opened directly to our room and the rooms were very clean. Loved the views from the rooms and the breakfast was well done. Highly recommend this!!

Very large penthouse style rooms, ours had ocean view. The elevator opens right at your room. Clean spacious upscale rooms. Staff was helpful, restaurant had was above average. Breakfast cook makes made to order omelettes and pancakes for the kids in the shape of animals like monkeys etc. Pool overlooks the ocean but is not within listening distance. Rooms are even a bit farther back up the hill, so don't think you are going to sleep with the sounds of the ocean outside your balcony. I would highly recommend Los Altos for the family apartment environment or if your traveling with friends because if the space provided. Just be aware you are going to want to leave to go to the beach or other excursions as I wouldn't think staying within the facility would be much of a vacation experience in and of itself. The private beach is not very special.

An elegant apartment-like complex with all hotel services and family friendly . It is surrounded by a lush tropical rainforest reserve along with several hiking trails to observe a wide array of birds and other animals. It has an incredible view to the central Pacific, and even it's own beach! The restaurant Karola has a variety of delicious plates. Definitely worth the stay!

Best place to stay with a family in Manual Antonio. The rooms are 3 bedroom with 2 and a half bath with a full kitchen and living room. The service is amazing and the hotel restaurant has a great menu.

My family and I stayed here two weeks ago and absolutely loved it. The condos are huge and they have incredible ocean views from everywhere. Great restaurant for breakfast, another bar & restaurant at the pool area, and even your own private beach. Tons of wildlife viewing right there on the property. Would highly recommend it!

Gorgeous ! Huge spoiling apartments with 3 bedrooms each. High end. Breathtaking view of ocean. Inside a jungle forest taking you all the way to the ocean. Service is superb. Don't miss

Heavenly. A dream. FANTASTIC pool and exceptional view. Good food at the restaurant too. This place has paved roads all the way down to the beach, and also hiking trails through the forest that you can use to get to the beach as well. The spa overlooks the view, which is truly incredible. All around a luxurious and top-of-the-line place. Impressive service and great staff.

I really liked staying here. The staff was super friendly, the restaurant was excellent, and the apartment my group rented out was beautiful. I would strongly recommend this place for a large group. I did not take advantage of the pool or the beach so I will refrain on commenting on those.

Nice place. Saw sloths in trees. The units are nicer to look at but beds are super noisy. Other people staying there felt beds were uncomfortable. WiFi was pretty slow. Went during off season.

Stayed at the Jungle Vista Inn, which is a separate property managed by the Preserve at Los Altos and provides access to the resort's amenities. Can't speak to the actual rooms but from what little we could see from the outside, they looked very nice and modern/contemporary.
Loved the place, great service, staff was very friendly and took us down to the beach, set up chairs etc, despite a pretty slow week (we were there during the rainy season).
The views from the pool and the restaurant, Karolas, were fantastic, can't stress how beautiful the place is. We saw plenty of monkeys, the staff will point out wildlife (like sloths) any time they're taking you to and from the beach.
Food was good and reasonably priced for the area, same with the drinks.
As a non-Spanish speaker it was extremely helpful to have the front desk help out with reserving tours/hikes for us.
Heads up: the beach is quite rocky, so definitely bring your water shoes or sandals to help navigate past the rocks.response / report this review -

The rooms are great - spacious and luxurious. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The pool is excellent especially for families with kids. Our only complaint was the daily room cleaning has always been quite late - usually at around 4pm. Other than that it was an excellent stay.

My family of four visited in August. It was absolutely incredible. We loved the pool, service, wildlife. There were monkeys and sloths on the premises. The ocean view is breathtaking; the property is close to excellent restaurants and activities.
