This hotel is amazing. it is well placed. located to many local restaurants near to the hotel. the staff is super friendly. our room was very clean. the staff was very helpful in showing us where to get some good breakfast and lunch restaurants and where the best tours in town are. the price is affordable for the type of rooms that we booked.i recommend staying at this hotel.
Great price, close enough to downtown area without being annoyingly close to the downtown crowd. Breakfast included and quite tasty. The one complaint is the newness of the room. The window sills we're wood added to the actual window that were loose. Could be dangerous. The layout of the room was also curious. I'm sure they'll figure out how to use all the floorspace the room had.
On the way to the Park Inn I left a case with a drone, some medications and money in the taxi. The staff tracked it down for me making numerous calls. The staff are incredible.
In addition the breakfast is stellar. The omelettes are fresh. The juices are tasty.
The showers are probably the best I’ve ever experienced.
The beds are a little hard. If they had purple mattresses I could live there indefinitely.
Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the views were lovely. There are a ton of restaurants, shopping, and attractions within walking distance. We were able to walk to the National Museum in about 30 minutes. We did have issues with the soundproofing. We could clearly hear the guests in the rooms to either side of us, and I'm sure they could hear us, regardless of our efforts to be considerate.
Room is specious and comfortable. Food served in the hotel restaurant is delicious but pricy. Buffet breakfast is included and delicious too. Servers in the restaurant is friendly.
We only stayed here one night, but boy was it worth it!
I was in a two person singles room; the beds were practically queen sized and soooo comfortable. I would have slept the entire day away if not for jet lag. The rooms were spacious, with a great view of the city. The bathrooms were clean with hairdryer provided.
The biggest surprise was the food though. We were not expecting the level of deliciousness we were served. Chicken and fried fish with grilled vegetables, nothing was dry or overdone. The flavors were scrumptious and I only regret not eating more. Dessert was a caramel flan that was just perfect.
I don't know all that much about the location or distance to the city, but as a transfer hotel it was a great stay.
Arrived at night. Looked decidedly dodgy. Warm welcome. Nice room. Nice dinner.
In the daylight I was reassured. Quite a walk into town but safe.
Has a gym and the staff were great.
I am a Club Carlson Gold Member, so most of this review is based on my experience as such. I was greeted in reception by Armando, who was extremely professional. I was early for my check in and he immediately arranged my upgraded suite on the 7th floor. The room was fantastic! This was the best I have seen all year, and I have stayed at over 70 hotels this year alone. The breakfast was a 5 star, the bacon was excellent, as was my omelet, which was made by the chef. It was so good I had forgot it was free and asked for the check, the waiter smiled and said it was included. My lunch the next day was excellent. The Park Inn San Jose will be by hotel of choice while I am in Costa Rica every time.
We loved out stay here. I stayed with 2 kids and everyone went out of their way to make sure that we had a great experience. The breakfast included eggs, bacon, gallo pinto, hot chocolate, fruit, cereal and much more. I was impressed with the large gym and made use of the pool and hot tub despite some rainy weather. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for families.
Had a congress here. Rooms were good. Food was bland, bar was expensive, meeting room smelled like a wet rug, cleaning of room was late every day (4pm).
Great service and the free breakfast in the morning isn't bad at all. Thought it was really nice how the people there cared about their hotel.
Great location great staff perfect for business travelers
Great hotel!! Nice modern rooms with good views, helpful, front desk, but the restaurant is fantastic. The waiters were the best! Amazing food, best limonata I ever had, too.
Great hotel, very comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Good views of San José. Breakfast buffets are tasty and a good start to the day. Staff helpful and nice.
Very warm welcome. Thankfully English was spoken.
Nice modern large room. Cumfy bed.
Very nice breakfast. Not in the best part of town but they order a taxi swiftly.
Good little hotel. Restaurant was excellent and the service there was superb. Room had a little bit of wear and tear but clean. Hot tub not hot which would have been nice in the evening air. Breakfast buffet was good. Always felt very safe and will stay again.
Our stay was great, but the restrooms were a little dirty. There seemed to be black stains on the sink. Giving it a dirty look. Aside from that, everything else was great. There is always a taxi waiting outside if you need one. However, there weren't too many restaurants nearby, so we are at the hotel restaurant, and it was expensive! 3 burgers, two beers and a glass of wine for a little over $70! That was unnecessarily overpriced. 4/5
Friendly, helpful staff, large comfortable rooms and the food in the restaurant was good, although breakfast was an average buffet. Having secure, underground parking is really useful.
very nice hotel in the city of San Jose. The rooms were very big for the price, in fact the rooms were one of the biggest I have ever been in. The free breakfast in the mourning was very good. we'll worth the price.
The rooms were nice and it was much more clean and well kept from the other places we stayed while in Costa Rica. My only complaint is the pillows were way to hard and over stuffed and the mattresses felt like you were sleeping on the floor.
