I came here during a trip with my school at the end of the year in July of 2016. This place is run by 3 people only, and they didn't do a good job preparing for the arrival of 40+ people. The pool was not filled, and we waited about half an hour to get our rooms. After being settled in, myself and the group went to eat supper. The spaghetti we had eaten was good but there wasn't enough for everyone, and some people didn't get to eat as much as they would of liked to. Before leaving for supper though, I left my phone charging in the room along with my wallet on the night desk. When I came back, my phone was no longer on the charger, it was gone. I thought maybe I had misplaced it but I clearly remembered putting my phone on the night desk charging. After countless minutes of searching, I checked my wallet to find out that 50$ American was gone. I had been ROBBED. My friend and roommate checked his wallet to find out that 40$ CAN, 20$ USA and 2000 Colones was gone. We immediately got very concerned, worried and scared. The backdoor had been opened, some of our teachers windows had been broken into, and other evidence of a break in had surfaced. One of the lead teachers of the group had money to pay off some things for the students during the trip, she lost 350$ USD. We immediately left the hotel and slept elsewhere, police came around and the insurance of travel company (EF Tours) had to kick in for the stolen goods. Never go to this hotel, it was an eerie place to start off with ever since I got there. Something felt off from the beginning, and I ended up losing my phone and some cash, and I'm not the only one. All I remember from being here is the fear, and the awful feeling of knowing that someone had been through your stuff as you were eating supper in the dining lounge just beside the hotel. Who knows what the robbers would of done if they had come at night while we were sleeping. I will never forget this hotel, for all the wrong reasons.
