  Very nice place if you are looking for tranquility and to meet nice native people that are keen on nature. The farmer and his daughter take time to explain how they harvest pinaples and tilapias (fish) and if you are lucky you would be also glad to see frogs by night and perots early the morning. The only downside i would have is the cleaning of the room that could really be streamlined. Diner onsite is delicious cooked with product from the farm, but a bite quite expensive (but since you know where your food comes from..)

  This is a lovely place to stay that's a little remote, but not far from Sarapiqui. The owners, Sr and Sra Lopez, are continually adding to the grounds and facilities. You can catch your own dinner from a tank of tilapia taken from a series of nearby ponds. Sra Lopez will show you how to prepare native treats such as chocolate and maybe pineapple/ginger marmalade in her outdoor kitchen. Clean, comfortable, basic rooms. Nice breakfast. And, of course, a whole fried tilapia for dinner. The place is a bit hard to find. You need a 4x4 vehicle to get there. But don't be put off by the bridge at the popular swimming and rafting cove. It's safe to cross. A short drive past that and you'll be rewarded by your arrival at the eco lodge on the left.

  Een prachtige plek om een ochtend door te brengen. Tilapiakweekvijver, ananasvelden, maar ook andere gewassen waaronder koffiestruiken en vruchtbomen. Uitleg van de boer en zijn dochter, moeder bakt de gevangen tilapia voor een heerlijke lunch.
