This was pur second visit and we stayed in the bungalows which had more privacy. We were not disappointed! Lots of birds near our bungalow, and an agouti too!
This lodge is nestled in the middle of the tropical rainforest. From the restaurants I could watch a very large iguana on a tree in about 7 meters height. Impressive. The hiking trails in the area are very interesting
Beautiful rain forest lodge. On the Sarapiqui river. Excellent food and accomadations. River rafting nearby.
I visited this lodge in conjunction with a tour and it was fabulous. The area is beautiful and the tour guides are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Lunch at the lodge was yummy and the patio seating was perfect for bird watch!
It's everything that's been said before and more. Big shout out to Ronald our night and day trek guide. Fantastic place.
Amazing place for birdwatchers
It is beautiful and the Cafe serves delucious Costa Rican food!
It is a nice hotel. It is in the middle of jungle so you can see lots of wildlife and plants just by walking around the hotel.
The lodge was very accommodation to the naturalists in our group. We came to learn about the culture and rain forest of Costa Rica and this place offered a little piece of nature to call our own. The food that was included in the stay was very flavorful and you can tell made by people from the area.
This place is so beautiful! The rooms are outstanding! The ground are beautiful! The trails are worth the walk! We saw monkeys, frogs, turtles! The is a suspension bridge, great bar with a fantastic vibe, restaurant, and great pizza restaurant. Wish we stayed longer!
Its a very nice place wich includes a trail by the foret and nice view of the river
Amazing wildlife and very friendly staff and knowledgeable guides. Really felt like you were living in the rainforest songstress the animals and so many of them to see!
The lodge consists of several cabins, each with four large rooms, a restaurant, and rooms/areas for meetings. It is at sea level, which means hot, and the rooms are not air conditioned, but fans keep them cool at night. It is a short driving distance to white water rafting and other activities. Overall, a nice place to visit, but expensive.
The Selva Verde Lodge we consider a true gem, set in a beautiful peace of rainforest, and very well organised with superb facilities, friendly personnel, and wonderful tours into the adjacent primary rainforest. Animals, trees and plants everywhere, even breakfast can be enjoyed while facing the feeding table in the rainforest. Colourful frogs and birds, lizzards, butterflies, even a white-nosed coati (raccoon family) can be seen. We were just baffled by our visit and didn't want to leave..
