The family is lovely. Unfortunately, the bed frame was too small for a tall Dutch man. Also, it's close to the road; engine breaks of heavy loaded trucks made my night restless. My girlfriend slept great though. The shower was cold and stayed cold even though we asked hem to fix it. It's cool to see the various colourful birds during breakfast but they can be seen everywhere you go here.

The hosts are amazing, the birds are amazing, but please realize you are likely to see cockroaches, geckos, beetles, mosquitoes, and other little friends in your room. They do not use pesticides.
We stayed in the tree house 2 nights and had 4 cockroaches, numerous geckos, and a rain frog in the bathroom. A member of our tour had a tarantula sized spider in their room. Just be prepared and you will love it.response / report this review -

Endroit assez correct très près de la nature tenu par une charmante famille très serviable. Équipement basique. Aucun luxe. Douche rafistolée. Très bon déjeuner.

Super hôtel, certaines chambre sont situées dans les arbres ce qui est super pour observer les animaux qui sont bien présent dans le parc de l'hôtel. Les déjeuners sont bon mais pas très copieux et sans plus

Best place to watch birds in Costa Rica because they are within 10 feet of you and you can sit down while you are watching. Convenient by bus to other attractions also. You can get picked up here for good rafting. Easy to get taxi. About 1 kilometer from city center. Breakfast is good. The rooms are not spic and span but typical of Costa Rica standard.
