We've stayed in hundreds of hotels all around the world. This is the best one. I don't want to throw any spoilers in my review, but if you enjoy nature and jungles and you want to stay comfortable - this is the place for you. Staff is super friendly and they make your stay as perfect as they can. This is what Costa Rica should be.

We've been to Costa Rica four times and have seen much of the country, but Casitas Tenorio is our favorite place in our favorite country. Pippa, Donald, and the staff at Casitas Tenorio are so welcoming and warm.

If you're a birdwatcher, your're going to be delighted. The birds at the dining room are amazing, but the surrounding area has some of the best birding spots in the country.

On our next trip, we're planning to spend most of our time at Casitas!

The best hotel ever! Beautiful room, friendly stuff. Breakfast was excellent. They have free morning tour around the farm. I wish we stay longer at this beautiful place!

Wonderful gem! Grounds were beautiful and the hosts were very friendly. Free farm tour in the morning and a wonderful bird sanctuary to enjoy while eating breakfast. Wish I could have stayed longer!

The kind of place that sees your expectations for what a great B&B should be and raises them 200% :-) It has everything to keep kids and adults comfortable and entertained, from the lovely cabins and friendly hosts to the beautiful setting with nice walks and nature-spotting. Can't wait to go back one day!

Lovely quiet retreat in the rainforest but with farm also. Pip and Donald, your hosts, a warm couple with lots of knowledge on the local area and the wildlife between them.
The bungalows are uniquely different with each merging quietly into the rainforest - total privacy!
Eat breakfast while watching the birds and monkeys and other creatures. Or just while away the time rocking on a chair, doing the same.
Donald could almost guarantee to find you a sloth. On their rainforest walk.
Great also for children as they can milk a cow and see all the other farm animals.
Definitely if you have time stay at least two nights.
Can't wait to go back!

The Casitas Tenorio were a highlight of our trip to Costa Rica! Pip & Donald have created something truly special here. The casitas are spread out along the property (which is also a working farm), with more than enough privacy and feel more like part of the rainforest rather than a lodge complex.

The casitas themselves are gorgeous and luxurious, while lovingly kept part of the local area (locally sourced woods, etc). The have large windows and decks that open onto the cloud forest - we even saw (& heard) howler monkeys from our room!

Another highlight is the open aired breakfast room that doubles as a bird watching observation deck- we ate an amazing breakfast while watching toucans, among other tropical birds, eat theirs only meters away.

Pip & Donald have also created an easy walking path through the rainforest on the property that is a great introduction to the forest and its flora and fauna.

In addition to all of this, Pip & Donald are sustainably minded and are active in many local programs. They are genuinely nice people.

This place has to be seen to be believed, everything carries personal touches and modern comforts.

Wonderful hospitality and great nature to explore. Watching the morning birds whilst eating delicious breakfast is a fantastic experience. Rooms are very comfortable with excellent showers and views. Local advice and suggestions for the best day trips.

This is an incredible place. The best hosts I ever met. The place is perfect, the rooms are very clean and big, quiet and full of nature around. They will make you the best breakfast you will have i Costa Rica and share with you their passion for sustainability and what they are doing to help their comunity to grow.
