Lands in Love has a lot of heart and a fantastic concept. They are very accommodating. Food was amazing and VERY vegan friendly. Rooms are a little outdated but your money is supporting over 350 rescued dogs and sustainable forestsand for us the mission was more important. They will also transport you to/from the bus stop to catch rides to San Ramon and La Fortuna. Owners are all vegan but offer vegetarian food. We didn't do any activities but they offer plenty. We enjoyed a wonderful vegan dinner, an overnight stay, and breakfast the following morning.

We stayed three nights and had a great stay. Incredible vegan meals provided by the eminent head chef Naama, we took a walk to the nearby river, repelling down a waterfall, walking dogs, visiting cats, getting advice from in house tour operator Lior, relaxing by the pool. It is a place devoted to taking care of homeless dogs and cats and we are amazed at how much love and care these animals get. The rooms were immaculate and we were very satisfied to live a bit of a distance away from the dog pens because the barking can be quite noisy with all due respect to +300 dogs. There is a lot more to explore at lands in love so hopefully we will come back some day.

This hotel is situated on a large evergreen area. The site is beautifully laid out. Services and infrastructure are very poor. The dogs' facility is unfortunately located in the heart of the hotel grounds.

This place is really one of a kind. The hotel doubles as an animal sanctuary and there a literally hundreds of dogs here being taken care of. Some of the profits from the gift shops also get donated towards helping the animals. The food is also unique in that it is all meet free, very friendly towards vegetarians and vegans, but if you are a carnivore they mimic the meet with soy and it is still delicious. There are tons of activities as well, I participated in the zip lining tour as well as the canopy tour and the guides are helpful and fun so the experience is very enjoyable. Overall great place to stay. Highly reccomended!

Gorgeous place, we didn’t stay to sleep but we ate and had coffee and it was spectacular. The people is super nice, as most people in Costa Rica, they will treat you with love and respect and always try to give you the best possible service. They also have a dog rescue shelter, an orchid center, there’s cats everywhere and the most beautiful ducks! A place to visit if you are in the area.

I went to the vegetarian restaurant here. It was hands down the best one I've been to in my life. The meat tastes so real even though it's tofu. I recommend anyone who's in Costa Rica to go out of their way to come here.

We happened upon Lands in Love by way of their advertisements on the roadway. They had us at “meatless”. What a find! Had no idea this place existed until now. The property is home to hundreds of dogs and cats (rescues). They have ponds with waterfowl too. We specifically stopped here to eat at the restaurant. They serve vegetarian food and do have a vegan menu. This shocked us a bit as they advert their love for animals, and to be meatless, but support the horror of the dairy industry? Quite a mixed message. Honestly they could make anything on their expansive menus dairy free, and it would send a more significant message. But, back to the experience. The food was good. Service was pretty slow but overall pleasant. VERY dated decor everywhere, but who cares - it is all for the animals they are trying to help. We were making our way to the dog kennel area to see if we could walk dogs or something but the stench was overwhelming. (guess i shoulda volunteered to clean cages). So, since we were passing by to begin with, we went on our way. Worth the stop, and or stay at their hotel.

This place reminds me of Grandms house. They have a room full of old coaches with all manner of covers and fabrics. It works because it doesn't work :)

Hotel is set back off the main road giving you a super quiet, secluded feel.

you have to drive a bit off the main road, but it is worth the detour.

The property is beautiful and the animals they have there are amazing. We are so inspired by what they do for the animals here. It is a great place to support. The food though was just okay. Although the hummus was amazing

Entire resort is vegetarian and the owners are vegan so don't be afraid to ask for something vegan. Horseback riding, zip lining, or just relaxing in the hot tub, this is a great and beautiful place to do it.

We stopped for cake on our way to La Fortuna. The food and location were amazing - especially if you want vegetarian/vegan food. We only wish we could have stayed for dinner and beyond!

We did not stay at the hotel, only stopped in for dinner, but the food was fantastic and animal free, then got to pet some puppers outside. We had a great visit.
