Really like this all inclusive; it is not the newest in Jaco but it has to be one of the friendliest and cleanest. The staff goes above and beyond. The one thing I would change is the music, they play very sappy romantic music at times depressing. Being on vacation more lively animated music would be more appropriate. None the less it is right on the beach and you really get your money's worth. I definitely recommended it.

It is what should be expected from a Best Western as far as cleanliness and accommodations. However the facility is like a lock-down prison and forget about bringing anyone to the hotel for a meal, as they will charge them full price for a one night stay simply to set foot on the property. We had a friend arriving the morning we were checking out and they would not let them on the grounds to have breakfast with us. It was absurd. Needless to say Best Western will no longer be an option for any of my 20-30 hotel stays per year. Farewell!

Its a great spot for a hotel, right on the beach. The staff was really nice and the bar tenders were friendly towards kids. The hotel was petty clean (like the pool, buffet etc.), the only problem was that there were these black beetles everywhere, and a small lizard kept getting into our room!!! The pool was surprisingly clean, and the buffet was great! It had really good pasta, but the meat was sometimes to chewy or hard to bite, although there were these ice cream things that were SO good. In the lobby, there was a ping pong table, a pool table and two Foosball table which were very entertaining. Overall, I think it was a great hotel, and we had a wonderful stay.

We have stayed many times at Best Western Jaco on our way too and returning from Quepos. It always provided an excellent meeting up/jumping off spot. Now we have found that this establishment has become an all inclusive resort with a strict 3PM check in time. This just doesn't work for the traveller with a destination other than Jaco. If Jaco was my destination, then the value might be there, but otherwise, I would opt for other accommodations.

Was a great resort to stay at, you definitely get a lot of bang for your buck.

    Pros
    • Excellent staff
    • Excellent Bartenders
    • Simple but comfortable rooms
    • Fantastic views
    • Right on the ocean

    Cons
    • For me the only con is that essentially it is an outdoor resort aside from your room, due to this it is fairly easy for a bug to sneak in from outside. So we had 1 bug problem in our week stay.

Aside from that it was great!

All inclusive Best Western with great staff and beach front living with a lot of activities during the day and night. I would have given a 5 star but the shower control was terrible, I could not get the water to get below scalding very often and when I did it would either be too cold or have sporadic episodes of high heat again and again.

Great location, right on Jaco beach. Very nice waves for playing in the ocean, or even up to surfing. Staff is terrific. Very professional in appearance, and excellent service. All inclusive value is good. We are nearly every meal on site and beverage service was excellent. Facility is aged, but pretty well maintained. Pool hours closes at 7:00. With a 5:30 sundown year around it would be nice if i the pool could be on en a little later for an after dinner cool down on hot nights.

Room smelled, beds are hard, food is bad, drinks are awful, and they play music super loud until 1 AM. We came to Jaco to experience a costal Costa Rican beach town and got a worse version of spring break. We should have gone to the Oceano down the road.

Excellent food especially for a buffet. Very relaxing, not a hectic pace. Could use a ice machine in the hallway. Rooms very clean and friendly staff.
For the money pretty good place to stay.

Hotel was clean, staff was nice. This is an old hotel. Rooms are small with double beds. Do not stay here expecting good food. Breakfast was good. Lunch and dinner were often terrible.

The food at the buffet was so substandard we could hardly stand to go there even though it was 'all inclusive', the beds were hard, they had some loud, annoying event going on until 1am most nights, would only give you one towel and threatened to charge you $40 if you lost it, the bar staff was nice but the drinks were weak. Jaco is a dirty tourist trap, but at least the hotel was on the beach.

How can you beat all inclusive for $135 per night for two people? All the drinks and food you can consume. The beach isn't really swimmable, but the pool is kept clean as is the rest of the property. Some stagnant water laying around, and the elevators are kind of scary, but overall we had a great experience. Rooms were clean with only a few mosquitos. AC is really loud, but we made a few sacrafices for the great value. All food is served buffet style with a decent selection. Close to downtown Jaco strip.

We thought very highly of this resorting during our stay. The reservation was part of a Groupon, so I can't comment on the price, but the amenities were very nice. Room was simple (two single beds, bench, desk, chairs, balcony, bathroom -- all very plain) but it was totally spotless. Beach access was very nice to have. Staff was exceptionally kind to us. The meals were sometimes pretty boring (I think that's deliberate to keep tourists happy) but they also had some really great local dishes, too. Open bar was a plus. They serve you everything in small glasses, but it's unlimited, so it's fine. Very happy to have stayed here.

This was a mixed experience for sure. We arrived about 50 minutes early (check in was at 3pm). Upon arriving at the gate we were treated somewhat brashly by the attendant. We sort of laughed it off, but were somewhat surprised to be welcomed in such a way. Then we got to the front desk.. We were about 50 minutes early.. We figured this wouldn't be much of an issue. We were told by the concierge to go and wait on the sidewalk (I kid you not) until 3pm. I told the front desk that was not happening and we were directed towards a bench at the entrance. Another staff member made a comment that our position along the bench was a little to far into the resort and that we needed to move a little closer to the entrance.. Eventually we were told by the front desk that we could go to our room as it was ready but would be given white bracelets indicating that we were not permitted to use the facilities for the time being.. What did they expect us to consume in the 30 minutes before our check in? The rest of our stay was ok, as the wait staff was more than courteous. Unfortunately due to our experience upon arrival we most likely wouldn't go back..

The pool closed a little early for an all inclusive.. I like being able to go for a swim at 8pm or 9pm.. Unfortunately this was not permitted. The food was pretty good and the resort was clean. I appreciated that. The town of Jaco is also a fun one to visit. Lots of neat shops and interesting culture to take in.

All inclusive Best Western located on the north side of town. Located on the beach. Nice pool. No unregistered guests allowed. Be advised. Walking distance to town and Crocs Casino. Plenty of parking. Entertainment available poolside.

Stayed at the Best Western with my family, for 4 days, perhaps, since it is right next to the beach, the room’s amenities are pretty barren and minimal. It is very tranquil. There is a DJ by the pool playing music on Saturday night. Rooms are not very big but clean and tidy, the housekeeping showed up every day. The hotel offer 3 buffet meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner), both alcoholic (including beer) and non alcoholic beverages plus all the snacks our guests might want. Food were okay, a bit bland and repetitive. The view of the beach was breathtaking. We saw wild macaws and monkeys everyday! To my surprise that you cannot smoke anywhere in the entire resort. Absolutely considerate!

We weren't expecting nearly as much as we wound up getting with the Best Western incredibly pleased with our stay and would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a nice, affordable, secure place to stay in Jaco. As a couple, my lady and I payed $200 a night for a very clean, modern room with powerful and a comfortable bed. Included in that price was 3 meals a day, snack and drinks (alcoholic too) all day long, plus a beautiful pool deck, outdoor lounge/dance hall, and direct access to the beach. Honestly, this place can not be beat for the price simply great!!!

Nice location in hypercommercialized Jacó, pretty beach. Food is included in stay but underwhelming (5 types of cheap bulk pasta is a typical dinner buffet, not a place for diabetics or gluten-free types).

Smoke detector has been chirping all day and evening in hall, despite many staff going by or working beneath it. Some staff are unhelpful, most are very friendly.

I would like to activities in an "all-inclusive resort," as mostly it seems you can either swim or eat. But it's a grand life for beach-focused tourists.

Jaco itself isn't that great but I think this is the best place to stay there. One warning, they have a disco that plays loud music until 1am most nights. If you don't plan to stay up late drinking then make sure you get a room in the newer building not too close to the disco or you'll be kept up by the music.

Despite the trouble we had our first night, before changing rooms, we did very much enjoy our time there. The employees were kind and helpful, the food was good, and the drinks plentiful. And of course Costa Rica is an amazing country.
