  I tried returning a car here two days early since we had a ride up to LIR and the staff was unavailable/out to lunch during normal hours of business operation. We were in town for a wedding and were unable to drop the car off until 2 days later and the location refused to credit us back which led to a long drawn out process. I rent 50+ times a year and would not recommend this location at all. Go anywhere else.

  I rented a car from the Avis office in Flamingo Beach in January 2017. The rental period was for 3 days and we paid a $500 deposit on credit card for the car and paid separately for the rental, full insurance , CDW etc . On return of the vehicle in good order we were advised by the Avis manager that our deposit had been refunded to our card and took it at face value that this had been done. Unfortunately this wasn't the case and since January we have been casing Avis for payment. They maintain they can't reference the agreement number for our rental agreement ?? Regrettably we have now had to refer the matter to the VISA disputes department to chase our refund. My strong advice is that if you choose to use Avis, Flamingo Beach ensure you obtain a refund for any deposits paid at the time you return the vehicle or ensure you see positive proof that a refund has been effected on your credit card. On a separate matter the vehicle provided by Avis ( Nissan Quashgai ) was not good quality - dirty and certainly not cleaned before the rental period commenced.
