We booked this hotel on airbnb which had fabulous reviews. The hotel is quite far from the center of La Fortuna (30 min) which we did not know. The road to the hotel is unpaved, you definitely need a 4x4 to arrive. It has a very nice view of the volcano and the breakfast ($5 USD per person) was fresh and tasty. The room we stayed at seemed clean but cosmetically was a little worn down. We did let them know in advance when we were to arrive but the owner was not there to welcome us - his teenage son was, who showed us to the room but did not orient is to the property or tell us about breakfast.

This hotel was the best part of our trip to Costa Rica. It is secluded with amazing views of the lake, the jungle, and the volcano. The staff were very friendly and the rates were reasonable. The rooms were clean and spacious. Internet was great. I loved breakfast: a little pricy but worth it. We ate tropical fruits in a clean little cafe with glass walls that gave us stunning views! Idealic.

Awful, awful, awful!! We booked a room and said we would arrive between 5 and 6pm. We arrived right before 6 and there was no stay there. We tried to reach them but apparently they had no signal and they couldn't be reached. We waited 2 HOURS for someone to come check us in. They never came. We ended up driving up the road to hotel El Castillo where our wonderful waiter was able to get the staff (Eduardo) on the phone. Eduardo was completely unapologetic and offered no remedy to the situation. We ended up staying at a different hotel. Ugh. Not cool, especially after a long day of traveling!

The most beautiful view lies just 2 minutes towards the volcano. Tropical enough that howler monkeys were seen in the trees surrounding the lodging, will definitely revisit

Upgraded to the honeymoon suite due to construction. Perfect for access to sky trek and drift, etc tours, since it's next door. Complimentary breakfast served at the Chill Restaurant inside Sky Adventures.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Beautiful views! Room was comfortable, staff was friendly. Eduardo was a great help when booking our events in the area. If you have time check out El Castillo, Rancho Margot, Sky Adventure, and some hot springs around the volcano area. If opting to drive, rent a 4x4 vehicle.
