Except the restaurant, the staff and food from the restaurant only are horrible. There are plenty of great food restaurants in the area.

Excellent Stay in Arenal! Away from town, but quiet and peaceful. Standard bungalow had direct view of volcano. Rooms were spacious and beds were extremely comfortable. Porch a nice touch in the morning while having coffee

Very nice room, clean, scenic area near Volcano Arenal. Good restaurant. Nice jacuzzi. Two things prevented me from giving it five stars.
1. No Wi-Fi in the bungalows. You can get the Internet, but it's only 2G.
2. Nice firm mattress, but no fluffy mattress topper.response / report this review -

My boyfriend and I came here with his cousin and his boyfriend who recommended this place after staying here for their honeymoon years ago. We were very surprised as how nice it was when we checked in. Unfortunately we came late so we didn’t get to take advantage of everything the respite offers but we did stop by the hot tub after getting settled. The room was clean and everything was very well maintained. The shampoo and soap smelled fantastic and I wish we had more time to stay. The rate was reasonable (I think it’s different for locals). We would definitely like to come back next time we come visit Volcan Arenal!

Tourist beware. The steakhouse had one option for steak. They will say that you are getting churrasco and they will give you loin. They will cook the meat to the wrong temperature. That is after you get your meal in pieces. Mashed potatoes came at the end of the meal. Meat was tough as can be and the chef came out to show it was lomo yet it was sold as churrasco. I would never come here again.

It was ok, the restaurant is overpriced I suggest going to downtown La fortuna and eat otherwise you will be broke, am not amazed with the lobby staff they need to learn what costumer service means we ask for a free transportation they offer it never happened even thought the lobby girl offered everything else it's just ok!

Really good hotel to stay with excellent views to the volcano, I don't give a 5 out of 5 because the restaurant seems expensive for the quality or quantity of food.
I also had a noise on the AC that didn't allow me to sleep the 1st night, I report the issue at front desk and this night I continue with the same issue and they gave me no feedback about it.response / report this review -

Cabins spaced about 10 meters apart, good for privacy, full northern view of Arenal Volcano, shaded hot springs pools, accommodating staff and good food in the restaurant.

Inappropriate tour guide: This review is for the horse back riding tour. Our tour was set up by Montana de Fuego, the hotel we were staying at. There were a total of 4 of us on the tour, one couple and myself, along with another girl. Our guides name was Alexander. Throughout our two and a half hour tour Alex kept grabbing our hands and telling us things like "you have my heart" in Spanish. We both asked him to stop. He began talking to us about how he loved our small waists and thought we were so beautiful. It was extremely uncomfortable. We rode down to a river where Alex kept asking us to jump in with only our underwear on. Again, telling him to stop and again, him continuing with his disrespectful, disgusting, sexual comments. Because of this alone I would never recommend this resort. To be so far from home and to feel so threatened did not make for a relaxing, enjoyable vacation like we had planned.
