i had my procedure here on nov 6 2017. my appt was at 1 but i didnt do the actual procedure until minutes to 4.honestly the worst part is the long wait. after waiting so long at some point you just want it over and done with. when you go in it looks like a typical doctor office they ask what time is your appt then they take your health card n give u some forms to fill out. then you pay 60.00 and sit in the other room and wait for probably an hour depending on how many people are ahead of you then the first nurse calls you into a room tell you what will happen, take your bloodpressure, prick your finger and tell you to expect some cramping during the actual procedurethen gives you three pain meds.then she tells you to go get changed into the hospital gown n sit in another room she wasntboverly nice but she was professional. After you get changed you go sit in another room n wait your turn.. you wait another 30-45 minutes. i was so scared as it was my first time and i probably read every google post about other ppl experiences. when it was my turn i was terrified the nurse was really nice she did the ultrasound and told me i was about 7.5 weeks then the doctor came in and introduced herself asked if i was okay and gave me id sedation.. makes you woozy in like 2 minutes.. after i became woozy she applied jelly to my vajayjay and put the speculum in which was uncomfortable but not painful. then she inserted the vaccuum tube. This part id uncomfortable and i got a bit of cramping like morerate period cramps honestly it's more discomfort than pain and it's nothing that will make you scream cry or feel like you are going to die. it literally lasts for 2 minutes and once she removes everything the cramps stop. The nurse held my hand and told me to breathe and the doctor kept saying "are you okay baby". Afterwards the nurse gave me a pad helped me put on my underwear and let me lay down for a couple seconds befause trust me you feel drunk.. after she gives you water and helps you to the recovery room where you eat cookies and laybck in a reclining chair for abt 20-30 minutes with an ice pack on your tummy. I honestly didnt have cramping post procedure. I did feel nauseous because of the sedation but you feel better when you get home and take a nap.they take your pressure again before sending you home with antibiotics to prevent infection i dont regret my decision and I actually feelbrelieved. If you are considering this clinic you wont be disappointed. Cheers

I had an IUD insertion done here. I was impressed with how informative and supportive the nurse was, but I was a lot less impressed with how I was treated when it was done. There was another woman with me in the recovery room with me who I guess had just had an abortion, and she had a nurse fussing over her- when another nurse came in and came towards me, the first nurse said to her "Oh, she's just an IUD", and the other nurse left. After she was finished talking to the other woman, she asked me if I was okay and then hustled me out the door (I had been there less than 5 minutes at this point). About one minute after I stepped out the door the pain started, and it was HORRIBLE. I had originally been told "you can stay as long as you need" so I felt pretty unhappy with being left to deal with it by myself.

I just had an IUD insertion at this clinic. The all female staff, nurses, and doctor were very friendly and easy going, with the best bedside manner I have ever experienced in a medical setting. I felt very well informed about the copper IUD, the procedure for insertion, and follow up. The clinic itself made me feel at ease- small but relaxing environment, a cozy recovery room with an assortment of cookies and very attentive sweet nurses. The whole experience was so interesting, as I had never been inside an abortion clinic before- but what I can take away from it all is that I am so proud to live in a country where great places like the Women’s Care Clinic can provide it’s services to help women make informed, safe choices about their reproductive health and decisions. It’s really heartbreaking to read these ridiculous fake reviews aimed at deterring or scaring women from the clinic, or see protesters outside- please don’t be discouraged by them, be proud of your strength to take charge of your own life and body, and knowing whats best for you at this point in your life or situation. Women’s Care Clinic has provided myself with an excellent experience, and I wish them the best as they continue to provide friendly safe secure services to women in the GTA. Thank you for your work ladies!

I had my procedure done today at this clinic. I was a bit scared of going through with the procedure but the end result had made me feel better than when I first entered the clinic. I got to see that I wasn't the only one experiencing what I was experiencing. The place looked clean, organized & nice to me. The staff, nurses & doctors were all nice, friendly & comforting. I liked how they describe the procedure verbally & through instructions on a paper.

I had my copper IUD inserted 6 hours ago at the Women's Care Clinic and had been incredibly anxious for a week. I am honoured to say that I had such a great experience at this clinic, and truly can't say enough. All the staff were down to earth, funny, authentically caring and kind. When i got there, I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes before I was into the consultation room and given some pain medication, from there I changed, hopped up on the table, explained my nervousness and fear and was quickly made to feel at ease. My nurse, Diane held my hand and helped me to breathe; she was congratulatory throughout the whole process. The Dr was so kind and gentle and made me laugh a lot while checking in with me as the procedure went along - which was incredibly short! The procedure was over so quickly, and while there was some pain, it was nothing like what the internet prepared me for! All those hours and hours reading horror stories for nothing but a modicum of preparation, however unnecessary. From walking into the consultation until i briefly rested on the comfy leather recliners with cookies and water, was exactly 10 minutes. I am resting and doing really well, very little residual pain or cramps. Thank you all so, so much. I have a panic disorder and you made this so easy and as comfortable as possible.

I was a little skeptical of this clinic because lots of people claim the reviews are fake and there are some negative ones. However, I decided that I would judge for myself and just leave if I didn't feel comfortable there. I went to have a copper IUD inserted and turns out I had an absolutely phenomenal experience! I'm not one to typically write reviews, but I felt that I needed to this time. When I arrived, there was music playing and the place was very bright and happy. Everything was clean and I felt very comfortable being there. The staff took me into a room where they answered all my questions. Then I went and had the IUD insertion and the doctor was amazing! I didn't feel a thing, and I've heard that getting a copper IUD was extremely painful. Then right after they took me into a nice room with leather recliners to relax in and have some cookies. They also booked my follow up appointment right away. All in all, the nurses were so friendly and I don't think I could have possibly had a better experience getting my first IUD anywhere else! Thanks Women's Care Clinic!

Amazing clinic!! I went to the clinic about a year ago to get my IUD inserted. The doctor was amazing all the nurses and everyone helping me was so great, so funny and so kind. I went to the Morgenthaler clinic to get an abortion and it was the worst experience of my life, they treated me as if I was nothing and rushed through everything. The doctor walked in and put his fingers between my legs and didn't even say anything to me at the Morgenthaler clinic. This clinic you will not regret going here I wish I did to get my abortion.

I had an IUD put in at the Women's Care Clinic today - and honestly I cannot say enough about my experience there. The physician had the absolute best bedside manner I've ever encountered. I've literally never felt so comfortable with no pants on. The procedure was quick, efficient and the ladies cheer you on the entire time. This is a wonderful, healing place - I recommend for anyone requiring women's reproductive health support.

I had a procedure done today and the staff was amazing. Every person that I talked to was friendly and kind. The doctor and nurse were beyond caring and supportive. They made me feel safe and comfortable the best I could be. They were patient and were there beside me the whole way. They never once questioned my choice or made me feel any way bad about it. I want to say thank you. Thank you for holding my hand, wiping my tears away and being beside me every step. you are all amazing women. Thank you so much

I am not sure the ones who give low rate to this clinic in what stage emotionally are. Also i am not sure how fake the reviews are because i am sure as of week ago they did not do any renovation nor changed all the old musty blankets nor the smell of the place because honestly all of the poor comments were nothing but BS. i went with my wife to this clinic almost being scared due to BS poor comments about staff and equipments. Next thing i know all staff were extremely polite and helpful with smile on their face. My wife is very emotional person in general. I wanted the real truth about how every personal handled their job. She said every positive thing about manner of every nurse and doctor who works in this clinic ( Which i am sure they did not change all the staff from week ago) neither. Staff and doctors were all very pleasant with sense of humor in order to take the edge off ladies with emotional moments. I would recommend this clinic 100% base on my wife and I experience and thanks to all the personal in this clinic for doing a wonderful job.

I highly recommend this clinic! I went in today for an IUD removal. I was very nervous because of a bad experience with the speculum during my insertion about a year ago at the Hamilton Hospital, although my experience here was nothing in comparison.

Checking in, the front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. I was called within minutes after being signed in, changed into a robe and sat in another waiting room for maybe 5 minutes until I was called again. The nurse was friendly as she instructed me on what to do to get ready for the doctor.

The doctor I had was honestly the best doctor I've ever had. She was the sweetest woman ever, she made me feel so comfortable and she was so helpful and funny when explaining to me how to make my experience with the speculum easier. I've never felt so comfortable having my legs spread right open in the face of a stranger.. Hahaha! I was in and out of that room within 5-10 minutes, sent to change and I was on my way out the door with my boyfriend who had been waiting in the waiting room close by.

All the staff members were female, which is nice as it makes it a more comforting environment for women, especially those going through a procedure like an abortion.

Thank you to all of the women who work here and make this such a nice and welcoming environment for other women! :)
