Friendly atmosphere, great amenities (lots of mat space, showers, etc), top instructors, .and then there's the workout. If you are looking for a great workout, nothing out there compares to this It's cardio, strength and self-defence packed in one!

One of the most successful bjj gyms in Canada and it's clear why. Top notch instruction, great training partners, clean facility, and tons of classes to choose from

This is a great place. The other people are motivated, the instructors are competent and it's even nicer aesthetically since they fixed the fans and repainted. I hurt my back training at the beginning, putting me out for 6 months, and when I renewed the following year they were kind enough to give me extra time to make up for it.

Enrolled our 2 daughters two months ago. They love everything about. It helps that their instructor, Nacho, is amazing along with the help of Megan, Tristan and Will. I look forward to the road ahead as my daughters learn to defend themselves.

A team and a family! Toronto BJJ is hands down the best place to learn whether you are a beginner or an advanced student. The instructors are patient and knowledgeable of their craft. The facility is kept well also..With the 30 day trial ,you have nothing to loseCome give it a try!!

World Class Brazilian Jiujitsu taught by World Class Competitors who are just as great teachers as they are competitors, and they even throw in a 30 day free trial just so you can feel the level of skill and if it’s the right fit for you, you’re guaranteed to get your money’s worth.
    Great facilities, accommodating and clean.
Great location, just a couple of steps from public transportation (Christie subway).
Fun atmosphere, embracing diversity and a friendly group of guys and girls.
Whether you’re looking to be a competitor, lose weight or to be physically and mentally fit and make good friends while at it, Toronto BJJ is place to be. I have found the place to be a home away from home… I love the place!

Great group of people where everyone is treated with care and respect. A thoughtful, attentive approach to instruction means you're in good hands from beginner to advanced. Couldn't recommend them more!

I did a trial class yesterday with Nathan. While this place isn't the fanciest (they don't even water fountains, just tap water) and a bare bones change room, it is kept fairly clean. While I was waiting for my trial class to start, Dylan and Josh were at the front and were very friendly and were attempting to make people laugh (they did a poor job at it, but the A+ effort). Regardless, very friendly people. In terms of the class itself, it was quite good as Nathan went through the very basics (there was only three of us in the class) as we all said we had no experience with BJJ. He made the class engaging yet technical at the same time. It was a good experience. They have a 30 day trial and there was no hard sales tactics or anything like that, which is good. I'll visit a few more times until my trial ends and see how things go from there.

I walked in to this academy on November 13/16 and started the 30 day free trial. I was in the worst shape of my life at the time (5,6 195 lb with no cardio capability). After doing it 2 times per week for 3 weeks I was absolutely hooked. The coaches are incredibly encouraging and insightful.
The atmosphere is what was far and away the biggest surprise to me. It is a very welcoming and friendly environment; so for someone that has never done martial arts before, this was a huge factor that kept me coming back initially.
It is 4 months later and I've lost 25 lbs and train 3 - 4 days a week for apprx. 2 hours per day. I can't get enough!
I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to get into BJJ. I will also say that in reference to the other review mentioning no talking while on the mat, this simply isn't true. Of course we're not there to chat and the focus is definitely on the training, but talking things out and having a good time is part of the training here. This place is life changing, go check it out!
