Room alright. Staff alright. Nothing about it screamed pride in it.

Service was decent. Room needs to be cleaned a little better. Spider webs and a dead bee. Hotel is definitely showing its age and the smell in the room shows it. Overall a decent stay though.

Booked with one of the discount sites for a cheap price, the rooms were okay, needs some updating but they weren't horrible. You pay additional costs for parking while you stay, the wifi touch & go, no mini fridge.. The staff was kind, and the location is amazing (central to all the attractions). The only downfall for me was the karaoke/beer garden in the parking lot until 2am every night, VERY loud and the a/c does not drown out the sound like they said it would. Lol. But overall made a great weekend for myself & my family on a budget.

It's not fancy, but we wanted convenience and that's what we got. The staff was very upfront about the noise and the honesty at booking is very much appreciated. We just cranked the A.C. at night (to block the sound of the outdoor karaoke bar) and snuggled in for the night. The rooms overlook the parking lot, not the street and you can see some of the fireworks at night, but not all of them. It's only a 5 min walk or less to the falls.

The location was excellent. It was in the middle of all the action. The service was good too. I didn't like the fact that we had to pay for parking if we are staying there.

It was not bad for a place to sleep but would not stay more then one night. Did not have a mini fridge and microwave . There was a karaoke party at night going till 2am in the morning so it was very difficult to go to bed before that was finish. The staff we very nice.

Not the nicest rooms but ok for the price. I love that it's right in the middle of Clifton Hill, just a minutes walk away from everything.

I have to say the room was very clean so nothing to complain about. It is an older building and could definitely use some fixing and updating. You have to sign a waiver stating that you can't complain about the Karaoke at the bar next door. What they don't tell you is that it is an outdoor stage practically in the middle of the thriftlodge parking lot, so good luck sleeping if you sign the waiver. What you should also know is that their parking lot is a "$10 per day public parking lot" which you also need to pay per day for. If it wasn't for the Karaoke and the paid parking I would have no problem. So after tax and parking for two nights on thanksgiving weekend it came to $300+ I would say it should be about $50/night
