Given the touristy vibe and location I was pleasantly surprised with the turkey club and salad I had for lunch. For $14 including a tip I was very satisfied with the food. The guy at the counter wasn't the most friendly I've ever met but it's whatever. I'd eat here again.
We stopped in before heading back to our cruise ship. Very convenient. We did not have any food just a couple of drinks. They had five or six beers on tap. Outdoor and indoor seating. Cute little place.
This place is my local and I love it here. The staff are great! The food is Delicious! And the views are perfect! I really can't fault it! - Apart from one thing, they don't have fries on the menu maybe they are a part of promoting healthier food, which is fine by me! :)
The worst service experience of my trip. Our server didn't seem terribly interested in taking our orders, refilling drinks (not just soda, but beer and cocktails). Appetizer took forever and came out cold. Our mains were slower than a docking cruise ship. We were able to watch a cruise ship from 15 miles out make it not just into the pier, but actually tie on and dock before we got our mains. Everybody else in the place had food before usand when we managed to actually find our server, she assured us it was "coming right away" and would promptly disappear again. The place was less than a quarter full.
Good looking waiters and waitresses Close to the water. Slower than a child first learning algebra-service. Forgot our drinks 30 minutes no food No one comes to check if we are OK Food is hypothetically delicious Keep smelling something nice from the kitchen but never seeing anything come out to the tables
Good coffee, decent food, and a nice view
Great neighborhood location with nice views, and offering a scenic walk afterwards, if you wish. Food we had was good, but nothing memorable. Staff was o.k, but not overly friendly. Comfortable, bright environment. Lining up to order and receive your food seemed odd and awkward - would be much more enjoyable and classy to have table service - they seem to have more than enough staff to accomplish this idea. Parking is decent.
Solid food with a small menu but they've kept it simple. Service is great and the atmosphere is awesome. Friendly staff, fellow patrons and a cozy pub make for solid vibes.
The food was great, the food service a tiny bit slow. I had the fish taco (there are actually two haha) and the clam chowder. Both were really great. Others at our table had burgers and also gave rave reviews. The Mac and cheese was bland and nothing to write home about.
When asked about their daily soup if it contained gluten they said "it may contain gluten" like they were reading it off a package. That made me wonder if they actually make their own or just warm up store bought stuff.
Sad there are no fries for a side, but I'm assuming that's due to a lack of deep fryers; and can appreciate that!
Nice cozy cafe/bar in a superb location, close to the James Bay breakwater. Nice spot to go on a date. I am giving 3 stars because the drink and food menus are somewhat limited, with a too small selection. Nevertheless the sandwiches are quite good.
