Great food. fast service.
Have been a regular customer for years. One of the best Thai places in town. I normally order for take-out and then go to pick up which is typically ready in about 15 minutes and the food is consistently excellent at reasonable prices. Every now and then we try another place to see if we can find better, but then come back here.
Now to put things in perspective, the food is not as good as I have had in Thai restaurants located in downtown Toronto, like at Pai. Nor some of the restaurants or street food I've had in Bangkok. But for Newmarket, it is the best overall Thai restaurant in my books.
The garlic shrimp, spring rolls and pineapple rice are to die for! The staff are always friendly when I call to place my delivery order. I think it's one of the best places to order in from in Newmarket and the prices aren't outrageous either. Will definitely continue to be a regular customer and highly recommend!
Decent sized portions. Friendly staff. Low price. Very tasty food.
One of those gems where you can get kick ass noodles for around $10
Best Thai food on town by far. Ok price awesome food!
Fast, inexpensive and delicious lunch specials. I recommend the cashew chicken! Best Thai food in town.
Best thai food in the GTA. We always get the dinner for three. Amazing!
Pretty good food for a reasonable price. Shrimp chips and peanut dip free for the table. They have amazing coconut rice. The decor is seriously lacking and service was ok.
After reading the other reviews I was excited to try this place but it did not live up to the expectations. They only had tofu cold rolls, so disappointed. The pad thai and Cashew nut chicken were made gluten free as requested but still disppointed with the cold rolls.
When reading upon these reviews of saying how this restaurant was so good, I thought that my boyfriend and I had to come try it out. It did not meet up to the expectations of the reviews.
It was very warm and welcoming, but the sitting wasn't the best, when we were sitted in the smallest table with no room because the plates placed already filled up the whole table. It started out very nicely, because we were given our menus and free crab chips with a peanutty dipping sauce. It got my boyfriend excited about something free, but it goes down hill from here.
We had ordered the spring rolls, the pineapple fried rice and the curry vegetable side. The spring rolls were nice and hot, but when it said it had meat in it, we both tasted none, it was nice and fresh and the sauce was good but didn't fulfill its description. Then we were given both pineapple fried rice and curry vegetable, there was no room, and the waiter just kept moving our plates around to fit everything. It really wasn't helpful to have no space to eat.
As we were scooping rice onto our plates, the veggies side just looked like it was boiled in curry soup like you would boil veggies in water. There wasn't much of the veggies either, i would see a variety of veggies, but it'd be something like 2 broccolis, 3 sliced carrots, 2 napa cabbage and some peas not what to expect when you wanted a dish of veggies. It was quite disappointing.
The fried rice had no taste, it was bland, it didn't even have any pineapple taste even with chunks of it within it. The only thing that helped, was when we poured the watery soup-like curry sauce onto it. The little condiments that was mixed within the fried rice was pretty disappointing too, because there were very few chicken slices, but it was really thick, and the cashews were whole, rather than chopped up or anything, and then you have tiny squares of carrots and peas like the ones Store bought, I have tasted real Thai food, and it's nothing like this, it wasn't bad but it wasn't great at all.
Overall, it was far from what the good reviews made it sound like, it wasn't even a busy day, but it was very disappointing overall. I don't think we would come back to try anything else, because as other comments shown, it isn't much of a Thai place, and it was not the best.
Lets see, it started off well with free crab chips and lime water but that only good thing about the meal. The pineapple fried rice was bland and tasteless, there was no pineapple taste, not even the pieces of pineapples in it. Then the vegetable curry was just vegetables drenched in curry soup. Honestly I would rather just eat at a school cafeteria, it will prob be better and cheaper.
Service was good tho c:
One of the best Thai places ever. It's family own. The flavours are amazing.
