Recommend by some locals to us while we were vacationing in the city. Fabulous food, great atmosphere very popular, (was full the entire time we were there!). Without a doubt would would go again and would recommend it if your looking for a great Thai meal!!
My husband and I used to go to get the Masaman Curry pretty much every week. We went today and we had the unpleasant surprise that they've changed the recipe, not only making it tasteless but also the appearance is not appealing at all. The oil was really separated from the rest of the ingredients. I wish the waitress told me about the change before I ordered. I spent 40 dollars for an unpleasant and disappointed meal.
The food quality & taste was excellent. Really enjoyed the meal. Better than any I have had in Toronto! they have an upstairs place to hang out while you wait for the table as there was a 30 min wait on a weekday. V popular place.
I’m a regular at Pai northern Thai kitchen and this place is just as good.
Beautiful ambience, great food and a superb service. No wonder why there is always a long line up to get in.
The restaurant was recommended by a family member who lives in Toronto (I’m from Edmonton). Awesome food. Had the fresh rolls and then the Khao Soi, medium spice, and both were delicious. Would go again in a heartbeat.
Love the atmosphere and the spice level 11. Awsome food do recommend.
Food was very good, but they sat me at the counter with people right next to you, being left handed it was difficult . I would go back but would need a table.
The food was really good. Service was fast and efficient even on a busy Saturday night. The Bang Sue Bar was a treat. Great beer selections on tap.
Tonight was our first time here. We are vegetarians and had plenty of choices! We were impressed by the gorgeous decor, elevated flavourful food and large portion sizes. We lined up 15 mins before the doors opened, and had no problem getting a table! But it did fill up quickly after that, so arrive early. Try the thai iced tea for a special treat, the squash fritters (beautiful presentation!), and the 3 flavour pad thai or the panang curry. We opted for spice level 2, and it was a bit mild so next time we will go for spice level 3. Enjoy!
I love the food at Khao San Road. I haven't been dining at Khao San Road at their newly opened location since their location on Adelaide I believe until last night. I will be a loyal customer for takeout but not for dining. Not the best place to go to if you want a relaxing dining experience or catching up with an old friend. I found myself happy once I left the venue as it was way too loud and crowded (yes, I went on a Friday night but I'm sure its like this almost every day since the grand opening).
I used to love this place prior to their reopening on Charlotte but it's been downhill since. Their prices have gone up and their portion have shrank in size. Their wait staff is middling at best during the lunch-time service and rude during takeout and dinner. Take your money and service somewhere else.
Amazing food , amazing atmosphere and amazing staff and owner! He was really nice and asking if everything is ok!
The quality of food was great and they had separate gluten free menu! Lots of vegan vegetarian options!
I had a horrible experience tonight at Khao San Road. You can pretty up your tiles but the real change has to start within-with kindness, empathy and treating people well. Nothing matters more, even great food. Too many nonsensical strict rules, not enough goodwill and understanding. Wise up or you will lose more customers.
Great atmosphere, amazing tasting food, fair prices and quality service. Most importantly for me, Celiac safe, probably the safest menu I have seen in Ontario from a kitchen that is not 100% gluten free.
So expensive! Almost $20 for one entree - small portion and the beef was tough. Disappointing as I heard this was the best place in Toronto. Could get better Pad Sew Ew at Thai Express for $10
Fantastic food and great service. I can't wait to go back. Special shout out to Monty for making sure my 8 month pregnant wife was comfy while we waited for our party to arrive.
Nice ambience. Delicious food. The openings normally are very hectic and details in the service are missed but it is understandable. Unfortunately they didn't have pork and we had to have chicken. Will definitely come back.
Although their new space is quite small, KSR/nana is still an amazing Thai experience. I had the pad Thai and a spicy massaman curry and it was the best I've had! And reasonably priced. Definitely check them out!
A a Vegan, I have to say that Khao San Road makes me once again happy to go out to eat. They have an entirely Vegan menu. I had tried to dine here once before with a group of friends, but the 1 1/2 hour wait for a table changed our minds. After eating there tonight, I know why there is a wait. The service was spot on and the food the best I have tasted in a long time. Look forward to returning.
