Nice staff good selection. Their teas are high quality. Have some of the best roobios tea
Would not dispense their loose leaf tea into a clean glass jar I brought. Suggested I take their tin and throw it into the recycling as soon I get home. Said they would have to get rid of the tin they used to decant the correct amount into my jar because it would otherwise need to be sanitized if they were to use it for other tea. Makes no sense, headed to DAVIDs and Special Teas instead.
Great selection of loose and bagged teas, tea ware, accessories, oils etc. The staff are always very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, and usually have samples to hand out. The tea always tastes great and isn't full of preservatives and other filler like a lot of the other places. I always go here when I need to re-stock.
Best location in Victoria for Organic loose tea's, none of that artificial junk in these teas. Purchase tea in a variety of sizes. My wife loves the beautiful tea pots and mugs. Usually someone at the door to sample you one of their teas. They also offer massages.
Not just a place for tea, it's more of an experience. The staff are helpful, fun, informative and not pushy. Free samples, great aromatherapy, prices are what you'd expect from a premium vendor. But the tea speaks for itself, top shelf! Definitely a return customer.
Love this place. Someone is always available to help you and they answer any questions. very friendly, and everything is easy to find.
Best selection of teas in the city; and nothing beats a cup of hot tea on a cold day. Also a great collection of aromas.
The BEST tea in Victoria, hands down. Also, the most amazing and informative workshops and staff. Going to try the spa next
Great selection of teas. I'd recommend the Winter Warrior or West Coast Peppermint. Very friendly and helpful staff.
I am unfortunately giving Silk Road Tea a one star rating. Back in April I had a great in-store experience with my mother and sisters as we were shopping in the Victoria area. I purchased a number of things instore including tea cups, a tea pot as well as some tea. The experience there truly was a highlight of our day trip to Victoria. On our charter back to Seattle I discovered that I was missing one of the teas that I was charged for—it was never put in my bag. I immediately contacted Silk Road Tea and with delayed responses they finally got back to me and set up an online credit for me to purchase my tea, as they could not give me a refund. I went to make the purchase online but discovered that I was going to be charged a $20 shipping fee for my $19 tea. I contacted the shop assuming this must be incorrect, but was informed that I would not receive free shipping until I spent $100 worth of product on top of my $19 credit. I expressed dissatisfaction and decided to wait until I could make a larger purchase. This summer I went to place an order but was informed that I would not have a guarantee on my shipment unless I paid an extra $20 in shipping because of problems at the post office. I once again expressed dissatisfaction but was only offered the option to wait until later to put my order through. So I chose this option. November comes around so I decided once again to place my order; however, was informed that my online credit had expired! I contacted Silk Road Tea a month ago now to see if I could get an updated online credit code and I have yet to hear back from them. The customer service, or lack thereof, that I have received since leaving the store has been appalling and I am truly disappointed.
