Staff were friendly, golfing was nice but needs to be modernized.

Like playing a cow pasture. Tee boxes and fairways are not mowed, greens are in bad shape and it's too bad because the course has great potential, too bad ownership doesn't care. A $20 Course that charges more than double that.

I had left my range finder and a small bag in my golf cart. I noticed they were missing about a week after. I called the course and left a message that they were missing. Robin called me back and mentioned that they found my items. I had Fedex to pick up the items. Robin went out of his way to assist. He printed off Fedex bills, informed staff about the pick up and went that extra mile. Thank you Robin.

I'm hesitant to review this golf course as I like it here and do not want to say anything bad. But I will say it is great value and awesome exercise as the track is about 10 kms long. The downside is the condition of the course. You can literally hit the fairway off a tee shot and lose your ball inbounds. You can imagine how frustrating that is. Other than the condition being poor at times it is definitely worth checking out.

Of course, with having to groom 140 acres every one to two days would be a challenge to say the least. I think your doing the best you can with the resources and manpower that you have!..I enjoyed our game as did my friendSee you again.

It's a dump. But I'm giving it 5 stars because I like nostalgia. This once great course has fallen on hard times but it's still fun to play and it's very reasonable.
Pick your times. It's seldom busy but in the wet weather it's a bog and in the spring it's hard to find your ball for the un-mown daisies.
I wish someone would buy this place and breath some new life into it. It's for sale BTW.response / report this review -

Worst golf course I have ever played at! The conditions were were horrible. I must have lost 10 balls that landed IN the fairway. To top it off, our cart died on the 8th hole. Do not waste your money.

The course is in rough shape. The layout is nice, however conditions are less then desirable. Fairways and greens that look like a backyard and are really not well kept. Have played 3 times, and prefer the extra 5-15 dollars to play other courses on the island that have fantastic conditions. It is too bad because they layout I found enjoyable.

I want to compliment the Glen Meadows Kitchen for a wonderful lunch provided today for our
Saanich Peninsula Hospital Auxiliary. Everything was nicely prepared, set up and enjoyed by
all those attending. I hope I find the same experience at the next event I attend that is providing

I love this course. Its so great that they let me wear my jean shorts. This was a huge point that always makes golf more enjoyable. I also prefer the dirt/hard-pan fairways, as my pop-slice gets more roll. The first hole allows for my classic shaft-shank, which is a big bonus. This course is a definite play here on Vancouver island.
