Was in the two storey section. Not as nice as the towers section. Bathroom had old cigarette burns on the counter. Internet was slow and cut out at times. Room seemed louder from aircraft and outside noise but might have been my imagination. Microwave worked but took twice as long to heat up food. Coffee machine is nice vs just the usual keurigs. The Steve Nash gym access is nice.

Great bed. Nearby restaurant and airport. Otherwise nothing to write home about. Lots of airline staff use this hotel. Reasonable price.

Somewhat dated rooms, and it would be nice to have a microwave, especially for longer stays. Located close to the airport with a convenient shuttle, but otherwise away from the action. Otherwise, the hotel itself is quite good, especially the pools, restaurants and gym.

It was a good night stay. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice. I'm not certain the penthouse would be worth an extra fee, but it was modern and had a decent city view.

Nice rooms and a quick reception staff. Pool is beautiful and there is a restaurant and a Starbucks on the ground level. Coffee maker in room, fridge as well. Ice machines as well as soft drinks on the room levels.

Good hotel in very convenient location. Only 20 minutes to Vancouver city centre and I 0 to the airport.

    Super comfy beds and linen.
    Great service.

There is a bar/restaurant attached that has good food but overpriced and quite in need of a cleaning. It is more of a bar at night so gets a bit worn.

But overall great location and stay.

I have four rooms booked at this hotel and when I parked my car at the lobby entrance to wait for check out and loading. the check out line was a bit long and there are some waits. in about 10 mins the guy marked with “senior manager” came and said “ you can’t park here, go somewhere and park in the parking lot!” I was shocked by his attitude and how rude he was the way he asked me to leave.

I think a hotel should be welcoming and accommodating, what his guy did is nothing but rude and bad customer handling. I have stayed in many hotels from 5 starts to little country inn, none of them have problem with customers parking at the front lobby checking out and loading.

this is my first and will definitely my last stay at this sandman hotel!!

Really enjoyed the facility and Chop and Denny's. While waiting to check in I was the next person in line and several flight attendants walked in and proceeding right past my wife and I to the desk. I've never had that before and after looking online I see that it has happened to other guests. It appears they have a busy contract to house flight attendants which is great for them, but I'm not sure why they get to move to the front of the line. It might have helped if someone explained what was going on. It was a bit frustrating and after arriving on flight of our own and feeling much more tired than the chipper flight attendants who were talking about what they were going to do in Vancouver as soon as they could change - I felt like my need to get a room was a bit higher than there. But such is life. The key card system for the rooms is pretty old, mine was deactivated by my cell phone because it was in my pocket next to it. That hasn't happened before either. Over my two night stay I had to get it reactivated a few times. They were always good about this at the front desk, and it appeared they were used to it. Nice place, but I'd probably try somewhere else that doesn't have flight attendants bumping me in line.

Great location, close to the airport. Courtesy shuttle from the airport is nice, arrives at the 15 and 45 of the hour. Very comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Conference room had great food and lots of coffee and water. I stay here for work a lot and am never disappointed.

Ended up staying here due to a flight cancellation. Not as convenient as you'd expect for an airport hotel. A lot of airline employees stay here (especially Air Canada) and they have priority on the shuttle, so don't expect to get on one. Couldn't catch a shuttle from the airport due to a rush of airline employees, ended up taking a $20 cab ride. Same thing in the morning, I "reserved" a seat on the 5:30 shuttle and waited outside at 5:20, but didn't get on due to the crowds. Luckily they gave me a cab voucher so I could get to the airport on time. They should run the shuttle every 15min since it serves 2 hotels, but it only goes every half hour. It was frustrating to say the least.

Also, if you're staying there due to an AC flight cancellation, the meal credit doesn't cover room service - but you can order your food on the phone, pick it up, and then eat it in your room. Weird.

Convenient to airport. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. I booked a seat on the 7 AM shuttle bus the night before but when I got there at 655AM it was full and I had to take a taxi. Not too happy about that.

Front desk staff was very polite, king size bed was oh so comfortable and bathroom was beautiful. Had a decent Size TV, a microwave and a small fridge which was great! Tub was small and room had nowhere to sit other than the bed but we were only there for one night so it was perfect for us.
