Room was a little run down, but clean. Location is easy to get to, although my GPS originally took us to the edge of the property that was blocked off instead of to the parking lot. The "continental breakfast" consisted of coffee, orange juice, milk, bread, and cereal.

If you need a clean room, the Gateway Inn is fine. The t.v. was every bit as good as a t.v. was in 1968 and if you arrive in the dark, make sure you don't slip on the 4-level floor. The multiple steps down are unexpected and not seen till you hunt up the light switches. They offer breakfast as part of the cost, however when we went for breakfast at 7:15 a.m., the lobby was dark and locked and there was no hint breakfast was in the making.

This is a very quiet and peaceful place! The staff are friendly and they have beautiful displays fountains and even edible plants growing along the front of rooms. This has always been our place in Revelstoke to rest from a long drive.

We stayed here for a night, on our way to Banff. Accommodations were simple but basic renovations have been completed and the room was clean. The bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly. We would stay here again.

Bedroom was decent, bedding had a few stains on it, sheets and towels were clean. Bed was a little hard but okay. Served bagels, eggos and cereals for self serve breakfast. Worth the price if you're not wanting to pay more for another place.

Comfortable and clean place. Rooms are big, with capacity to sleep more people. We got one room which actually had two rooms with two queen beds and we also got a cart bedding. Staff is friendly and helpful. TV in the room are old fashioned but their is a coffee machine, Microwave and a small Fridge in the room. A hot tub style pool was enjoyed by our kids. Walking distance to downtown and many restaurants in the area.
It also included continental breakfast but the timing was tight - between 7:30 to 9:30 am. We came late and were very tired, would have appreciated breakfast until 10 or 10:30 am.

Over all great experience, highly recommended given the cleanliness, friendly staff, price difference and capacity of the rooms.

Its got all the basic necessities and quite convenience to most amenities. We had 3 queen size beds in our room. The staffs were all trying to accomodate our needs. A bit old but cleaning staffs cleaned the room with lots of chemical everyday. I would give them an average of 4 1/2 star for the effort, price and cleanliness.

Price of a hostel, privacy of a hotel, finishings of a motel. Amazing view from the front sitting area. It's a budget hotel, don't expect the most modern furnishings and amenities and you'll be happy. Some of the other reviewers seem to have mistaken this hotel for the Hilton, silly people's.

Stay away from this place if you can. This is definitely not a family place! The room was way more outdated then shown on pictures. It was also very dirty, even plastic cups were covered with cigarette ash, so I had to get new cups from the reception, which by the way works only until 10pm. The worst is walls in this place! You can hear every single word and movement from the adjacent rooms! The first night was a hell! I got 6 guys playing cards behind the wall, screaming every time someone loses or wins and of course the reception was closed, so no place to complain . Consider buying a pair of slippers if you get a room on the ground level, since it's freezing.

Found moldy food under a bed in our room, there was no hot water for 4 hrs the one night. Would not recommend the gate way inn, owners would not do any reimbursement of any kind at all and were very hard to deal with. That's my rant!

We had to stay here due to the Transcanada Highway being closed. The owner was very nice and accommodating when some of the larger hotel chains in town were not. He put us up in a cabin in the back which was very nice for the price. The room was very clean and spacious. Thanks for the hospitality!

Very good for the price of the room. Fit 3 of us no problem. Lots of room. Only thing we didn't like was the fact we could hear people talking through the walls.
