No! They had the audacity to collect $100 cash for a damage deposit. I had to ask her to include that on the invoice. She wrote it down in ink. INSIST THAT THE PRINTED INVOICE SHOWS THE DD! I went to the pub for a nightcap at 12:30. The smell was like meth or crack or something. The band playing had some woman singing. It was god awful. Room? Very dusty smelly.They stuck me with the smokers and I started to get a headache at around 1 in the morning. Try the burger and a beer for 10 bucks otherwise, run! Revelstoke has problems not sure I like it.

Not a bad little hotel for the price. Walls are a little thin and the rooms aren't the greatest but what can you expect for $65 a night. Pub has good food and friendly staff all around.

Have you ever seen
Hot Tub Time Machine?
The scene where they all get to the lodge that they used to go to when they were kids, and it's become this rundown horrible dump?
That's kind of what Powder Springs is like.
It's shabby looking, and it's kind of sketchy looking from the outside, and inside the building as well.
It's in a major need of a makeover. Mid 1980' s decor.

When I checked in I waited for about 5 minutes as the guy who was actually behind the counter couldn't help me, and I had to wait for the girl who went outside to take a smoke to come back and check me in. I told her I was checking in, and she asked me what room I was in. ????? She smelled so bad from cigarette smoke that I had to stand through feedback from her. The smell was awful.
So she checks me in and I head up to my room. On the way up the stairwell, I notice big huge rolls of carpet shoved down the stairwell leading into the basement.
I guess they don't use the basement.

The room, what the rest of the hotel, was dated. It was fine now. There were some marks on the walls, and the paint needed freshening up, but the room itself was all right. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but unfortunately the air conditioner didn't work too well and it was a little bit warm in my room all night.

Probably the biggest complaint I have about the place is the back of the building. The door leading to the outside back of the building doesn't work, so anybody could just walk in. On the other side of the door is kind of a dirt parking lot with the garbage dumpsters.
On the door there is a sign saying no smoking within 3 m of the door or guest room windows of the hotel.
Sadly, that doesn't stop employees from walking about 3 feet outside the door and smoking, which leads to a wonderful stink of cigarette smoke in your room if you're unlucky enough to be facing that direction- Like I was.

All in all it wasn't horrible place. It was cheap, and you get what you pay for. I book this place on Visa points, so I guess I can't really complain that much. I'm not sure if I would actually stay here again, but if you don't care what the place looks like, and are just looking for a cheap reasonable place to sleep for the night, then this is probably not a bad choice.

I was absolutely convinced my car was going to get broken into last night, but it actually didn't.

Surprise surprise surprise.

Amazingly low price for the great quality of room! The staff were incredibly friendly and got me the best rate possible! On top of that the attached pub had delicious food and a great selection of local beers!

The reviews had be a bit apprehensive, but the price hooked me.

Check in was easy, secured two rooms for a friend and me. Though my first room wasn't ready (it hadn't been turned over since the last guest), I phone the front desk and was instantly placed in a different room. So that wasn't a problem at all, things happen. The room was clean and the a/c worked well. The wall pump soap in the shower and at the sink was a bit unusual but not enough to to warrant complaint.

What truly made the entire experience was the bar that is connected to the hotel, The Last Drop. What a fantastic place! We just stumbled in, not even realizing it was there. The band was fantastic (Red Haven, from Vancouver) and the bar staff was amazing. Had such a fantastic time.

After a fun night of music and drinks, the bed back and the room was so cozy and felt like a cloud. I highly recommend this place.

Check in was ok, gentlemen was friendly. The moment we walked in, we were greeted by a strong urine scent. We asked for another room, the gentlemen let us know that the place is fully booked. I had to ask for a air freshener, which then I was provided with spray deodorizer. Went in to the washroom, there were lots of hair behind the door and the toilet and the towel was not cleaned which still had remnants from previous usage. Had to sleep right by the window due to the urine smell. The worst motel experience I've had. Ever.

DO NOT STAY HERE. If you absolutely must, take pictures of your room before you stay and upon your check out. They charged me a 120.00 dollars extra on my credit card for damages I did not do. The rooms are smelly and old and nothing dusted in the room. Kept my shoes on the whole time. This a real rip off joint. Don't pay by credit card otherwise you will have extra charges added on. Sleeping in the car would have been the better option for sure.

The false advertising in the hotel pages or at their vendors and promoters where it shows a swimming pool in the picture and there is none is one thing. Although very friendly staff and good service. Old place and old bedsheets. If they change that and offered new good bed sheets and cover it would greatly change the perception. As for the rest is ok it doesn't bother me. It's got a nice pub and the location is centric. Available parking lot and the police station across the street.

The location was very close to the heart of Revelstoke. It's just off the main road which has tons of restaurants and stores. There wasn't much service but that wasn't a big deal. Guest services was polite and informative. The overall decor and condition was a little dated. The entire room needs to be upgraded but that doesn't make it unlivable. It was overall a good experience and wouldn't say anything bad about Powder Springs Inn. It's in an old town and there's not many options when it comes to hotel's so this is definitely an option if you don't need everything to be brand new.

Was not clean had a tortilla chip stuck on a pillow in our room. Also had stains on the sheets. It worked for some where to sleep but I would never go back. Just not my thing.

The hotel structure and furnishings are extremely old and tired. Bedding is awful, and likely decades old. Even things like bathroom towels are of poor quality. TV's are old CRT's. Walls have stains on them. Bathroom fixtures are cracked, stained, and worn through. When I last stayed there, in a spot between a chair and the window in the corner of the room, there was literally a pile of about a dozen dead black flies, as apparently they didn't bother vacuuming with much attention to detail. The atmosphere of the hotel would best be described as "rowdy" on a typical weekend. Lots of younger people stay here on the cheap, and combined with the non-existent sound proofing, it can be difficult to get to sleep.

Only recommended for budget travelers willing to put up with lots of noise and terrible room quality.

Really great value for what you get. We just needed a no-frills location with a bed for the night while travelling. It's an older place, but clean and staff was very friendly and courteous.
