Nice place too stay , more than 5 restaurants in walking distance and a liqour store , and convenience store

The actual stay wasn't that bad. My issue is the "deposit" of $150 that they charged my credit card. I have not been to a Ramada before that has not used a pre-authorization to retain a security deposit until here. So they actually charge your card. Several days later, I had to call to request them to refund the deposit as they had "forgotten." Now instead of an automatic release of funds when using pre-auth, there's a 14 day hold on processing of a refund.
Our company was recently sent an invitation to stay at this location, and quite frankly, I'd rather choose one of the many nearby choices over this place during our next stay in Medicine Hat.response / report this review -

After calling to ask about our upgrades (diamond member with wyndham) I was laughed at and hung up on by front desk. We called wyndham and they took care of everything. When we arrived at the hotel, we were treated much better. Room was good (dust in corners) bed was comfy. The breakfast area was dirty and gross and the breakfast staff was filling the food while wearing her outside jacket and texting on her phone. The pool area had old newspaper in the corner and just looked like it needed a serious update. Thankfully we have been staying at a variety Ramada across western Canada and have had way better experiences!

Very close to good food (the garage), cheap, clean and quiet. Pet friendly. Next door to food and gas. Perfect travellers hotel.

Service was very good. We booked a room with two queen beds and they forgot to clean the room so they gave us two rooms. Hot tub could have used a cleaning though.

Looks crappy from outside but the rooms have been renovated recently and are very clean.
Our room had a mini stove Nd a full size fridge. They even supply plates and pots.
Breakfast was good. Nothing too fancy but it was a hot breakfast, sausage, eggs, toast and pancake.

Affordable comfortable room. Motel is older but well kept in central Medicine Hat. Good free breakfast with eggs, hashbrowns and sausages. Enjoyed my stay.

Nice, family run place. The room was very large with a full kitchenette including utensils, cooking pots and pans and dishes. Clean, quiet and comfortable. No complaints.

Nice, budget hotel. New carpets, oak hard wood ceiling in the rooms, large flat panels LCD TV with premium cable service, tasteful room furniture, and a decent fitness center and pool area. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Staff is pleasant and friendly. This is my new favorite place to stay in Medicine Hat. Nothing fancy just a really good price and a great place to stay.
