Went on a Monday during lunchtime and was immediately seated. The atmosphere is cozy with a retro twist. I ordered a Waffle Benny and an Americano. The portion sizes aren't large, but the quality of the food is great. Waffles are crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. The eggs Benedict and peameal bacon were the perfect combination; a little bit buttery and not too salty. Great place for a casual hangout!

Came here on a lunch break with some co-workers. Staff and service was excellent, very friendly and accommodating. I ordered the waffles and egg Benedict. The portions were rather small, since it doesn't come with a side (literally just a waffle cut in half with one poached egg on one slice of bacon). It was a nice light lunch, but if you're hungry, I'd suggest steering clear if the waffle and eggs Benny combo.

Very good food and prices are not too crazy compared to some places. I've only had the coffee which is fine, not great not bad. They give you a water bottle for your table which I love. Seats are comfortable and the atmosphere is very cool and retro with some musical equipment on the back wall and vinyl records. The place is clean and tables are in good shape and not wobbly. The lighting is not too bright so it's a nice cozy atmosphere. Overall my only complaint is the service. The servers are really slow and not attentive. I understand there's only really 2 usually but it's not a big place. Also the coffee could be a bit better, sometimes it's not fresh or that warm.

This place was great! It's a little small so be prepared to wait, but it's completely worth it. The service is fantastic and the food is unreal, all at a very reasonable price considering the location.

Many airlines serve better breakfast. The minimalist serving of hash browns was undercooked; the orange juice had the tart, metallic taste of "from concentrate". A few slices of apple with a splash of some synthetic looking dressing completed the plate. The omelette itself was fine. --- At $20, you rightfully expect better, and more.

Perfect brunch spot! There was a line up outside but we only waited about 20 minutes. The delicious fluffy waffles with real maple syrup were well worth the wait. I ordered the Waffle Benny and everything was delicious. Asked for hollandaise on the side - they forgot but it wasn't drowning in the sauce like many restaurants. Friendly and very busy staff.

cozy restaurant with a bar. I came off peak times so no wait for me, plus i sat at the bar. The food was great (The waffles are amazing and the syrup complements). Awesome friendly staff! Came highly recommended and exceeded expectations!

Hole in the wall breakfast brunch spot. It's BUSY almost always so give yourself time and enjoy. Friendly service and the food is a notch way above the normal breakfast chains so try something interesting.

Such a great cozy place with amazing food! Eggs Benny wirh duck confit is so flavourful and also a good selection of loose teas. There is a long lineup in the weekends but it is worth the wait!

For a while this used to be my absolute favorite brunch place. Now it's still top 10. Staff is great ambiance is pretty nice. Kinda has a "grandmother's house diner feel"? I don't even know, but who cares - it's all about the food! Highly recommend the smoked salmon eggs Benedict (eggs Benjamin? I think).
They used to have liege waffles but I think they've stopped serving those sadly. If you see them on the menu, grab one (and tell me)response / report this review -

I have not been to this place in years and its still a ridiculously great place to eat. I'm not sure about dinner, but brunch is killer. Try the waffles or the Flemish Beef stew. Fresh healthy portions and decent wait time. This little place is tucked away near St. Lawrence market and north of the Distillery district across from George Brown college. Its worth a visit just for the atmosphere, deco and ambiance. They also have a decent selection on tap too. Service is decent and the price is worth the food. If you're going here for drinks or diner/pub food, its miles above the standard issue pub/diner.

Very beautiful breakfast and brunch location. The staff were so friendly and their coffee was one of the nicest cups that I've had at a breakfast place that wasn't a single cup espresso or americano.
The menu is diverse with many choices. My wife had the waffles and really enjoyed them.
A note for vegans:
As a vegan I know that going to a place like this won't have many choices, but they were very good at being able to work with me and the menu. In the end I got toast with PB and jam. So if you are looking for a vegan brunch this is not the location, but if you are going out with people and want a great visual experience with an excellent bar and coffee bar, I would recommend here over anywhere else.
It's a thin restaurant, so the biggest booths were for four but while we were there we saw bigger groups add an extra chair or two to accommodate.response / report this review
