Teresa and her team catered an event for us and it was simply out-of-this-world. So fun, so professional and the food and price-point was amazing. Thank you so much for an incredible event! Absolutely delicious!

Have been coming to PB since I was in middle school - best coffee shop in Parksville hands down! Atmosphere is great, people are so friendly - and the food is delicious! Love the banana walnut bread. Every time I'm back on the island I just HAVE to pop in - haven't found a place that replicates PB on the mainland and doubt I could.

Always friendly and I love the dark roast coffee! 50 different kinds of tea! Lots of different kinds of drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic). Great looking desserts!

This is the definition of community coffee shop. Relaxed atmosphere makes it an easy place to hang out. They don't assume I am leaving and give me a to go cup. And they support community initiatives. I recommend the Sex In a Pan 😉

Took kids in. Obviously my mistake. Girls in front of me took 15+ minutes to order 4 drinks _mostly_ because the girl behind the counter was either not trained or just terrible. She 'asked' for help - the other girl was busy and did not seem to know, and the guy that eventually arrived seemed exasperated. Meanwhile, kids escalating So ordered my food and drinks twice, as again, girl needed training/something Had her read back order and asked for bag. Asked for bag again when drinks got to counter as she forgot. Assumed I should take a seat and wait opposite counter so girl would remember I am there. Did so. After 15-20 asked other girl as kids escalated, and you guessed it, food order mixed up. Said 5 mins to fix. Left as did not trust that at all. Staff seemed blinkered/in other world and truly not focused on customers and offended that customers exist. Would not recommend at this stage.

Great place, good food, friendly staff,people that complain need to look in the kitchen and see how many staff work where you don't see them.
I challenge you to prepare meals for 50 people that show up in a 10 minute window before making unfounded stupid statements.response / report this review -

My wife and I stopped in one morning last October for breakfast before heading home to the mainland. Had never been to this cafe before. A nice rustic ambience. You order at the counter and the meal is brought to your table. We both ordered sausages and eggs with pan-fries, toast and coffee. This was perhaps the best a la carte breakfast we have ever had while travelling. Priced very reasonably, well-prepared and tasty. It's nice to start the day with an exceptionally good breakfast that fully satisfies. Highly recommended.

Owner & staff are the best in town. Always accommodating. Go out of their way to give the best experience possible & in this day & age they are far & few between. Great portions & prices. Quick service. Keep up the great work. It is a pleasure to see their smiling faces every day!
