This company is the best in the world..all employee are kind and have high qualities in all fields
I recently moved into a new place and filled out the address change form online. The application said that it had gone through, and that if they had any further questions they would contact me. I waited for my account information to come in the mail, and after 3 weeks I received nothing, aside from my power being cut off on a Saturday. I figured it was either a blown fuse or a neighbourhood power outage. Then after waiting on hold for how long I was told I didn't have an account with them and that the previous tenants were still on the file. Then instead of trying to fix the problem they just said we would have to call back Monday to set up an appointment for it to be turned back on. Yet for people with accounts, being without power is an emergency. Absolutely ridiculous that they closed at 4pm, and it was 3:30pm when we called so they couldn't afford to potentially pay for over time. So now my food in my fridge is spoiled, and my turtles and crested gecko have been without heat or light and are under extreme stress, but that's okay because they saved themselves an extra 20$.
EDIT:
So for some reason they came today (Monday) & said that our meter was not hooked up and that they couldn't hook up the power until there was a new meter put in. Weird, because for the last 3 weeks I had power? So now all of a sudden my meter is "missing". So how come they didn't process the new meter when they found out it was missing? What a horrible excuse for a company. Wondering whose going to pay for my spoiled food and sick animals?
I Used to go There For PorjectSEARCH, and I Say, the Water is Awesome;
Coffee is 100% 2 Thumbs-up;
What Else Can I Say About Hydro, Well Shaw WiFi is One, But it's Awesome.
I paid them to install a bidirectional meter two months ago and they still haven't. They confirmed by email that our meter was ordered, and nothing happened. When I called they had no records of it being ordered. Our paper work has been submitted twice already, but no one there seems to know what's going on.
I give them free power from my solar panels all day, and then still have to buy the small amount I use at night. I've contributed over a MWh to the grid and will probably never get credit for it.
Reliable electricity at one of the lowest rates in North America. Head office is clean with a friendly lobby and green space. Don't miss the weekly farmers markets every Thursday through the summer.
Gorgeous building. No idea about the Manitoba Hydro "part", but it is worth going from Portage to Graham through there, to experience a bit of big city feel.
Nice building with 3 restaurants and a bank on the main floor. It has a farmers market every Thursday in the summer until September.
Love their downtown Winnipeg farmers market during the summer months
