If you live in the city and you have children, I'd recommend the membership route. Good exercise and plenty to keep them entertained multiple times a year. The polar bear and seal exhibits are my son's favorites. (and the Dinosaurs of course)

Nice place overall, more animals than you'd expect in the city of Winnipeg.

The new church-hill section is a fantastic touch, and the indoor Antarctic themed jungle gym is a great place for kids to hang out and play, with super interesting displays and games.

It's a great place to walk around as well to get some mild exercise. Lot's of places to walk around there. For those who don't enjoy walking for too long or have difficulty with it, there is a transportation "bus" that will drive you around the park and drop you off in the area you want to be in.

As for the food there, not terribly impressive but they do have some decent sweets and a good amount of concessions around the park.

The only real thing that I was personally disappointed in, was the glass polar bear tunnel. Every time I went through it, there were no polar bears swimming around in sight. Besides that, it's a great place to visit for animal lovers, friends and family.

Had a great time with family. Huge polar bear exhibit!!! Good variety, had a nice size stroller to rent. Prices on drinks and food are decent. Look forward to coming again!!!

They have a dinosaur exhibit too!!!

Having a membership takes the pressure off seeing everything in one visit. Great value if you plan on going more than a few times a year. Open almost every day of the year including holidays.

Best time to see the polar bears is early in the morning when it is feeding time.

Great place to take the family, visitors to the city, and large groups.

Spacious park. Enjoyable in all seasons. Some enclosures are empty, but the animals they do have seem happy, healthy, and well stimulated. Enjoyable with friends, family, and for dates. It took me about 3.5 hours to visit all exhibits the last time I visited.

This is my go to place to get the kids outside during the summer. The exhibits keep getting better and it is well worth the cost. I absolutely love the polar bear exhibit and in particular how the seals perform for my kids at the big glass wall every time we go.

The arctic exhibitb is fascinating. Could watch the polar bear swim for a very long time. The new tiger exhibit is very nice. You can get close to the tiger. The butterfly garden is a new added touch and they are building an impressive wolf enclosure. The zoo has come a very long way from the dump it was a decade ago. The shuttle trolley is a very nice touch during the summer months. It's worth a visit.

I love the zoo. I would definitely recommend getting a membership - the zoo is a great place for getting outside, getting a walk, and seeing animals. I love that they are working to make improvements for their enclosures - in the last few years they have improved immensely. They clearly care about the animals. I wish the signs were more informative - they really only have very basic information on them. The old signs weren't as pretty, but had more information. But with smartphones, it's not like I can't learn more - but occasionally there aren't signs for some animals, so that does make it tricky. We visit all the time!

The zoo itself is a fantastic place. I always love going and the enclosures and displays are very well done. Staff are always very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is the food and drinks, prices when we stopped for ice cream the prices for what we got make no sence. The fact that the. Screamers the kids got were cheaper than the LITTLE dip cone was sad and if your going to charge 5.75 for a waffle cone at least fill it. When we stopped for lunch at the restaurant the prices weren't that bad but I would put the quality barely at the same level as a high school cafeteria.

Pleasantly surprised by the wonderful Polar bear exhibit and re-creation of Churchill. They have done a wonderful job with the large windows to view them while enjoying a bite to eat. It is also really neat that you can walk under the swimming polar bears through a glass tunnel. Everywhere you walk you will encounter a peacock just out for a stroll. I was lucky enough to see multiple peacocks open their feathers for a beautiful display. You are also able to walk with the kangaroos inside their exhibit and see the little joeys peaking out of the pouch. It was much better than I expected and spent much longer than I thought I would.

A lot of work is being put into The Zoo here in Winnipeg. There are new changes and exhibits every year. It's a great place to take my kids to get them moving around outside!

Great place especially if you have young kids. The prices can be high, but I always purchase membership which saves our family money on a long run. We get discounts on food and purchases at the gift shops. We often go to the zoo just for a short walk without worrying about entrance prices too much.

I love going here for some relaxing drive when I don't have anyway in particular to be. Their restroom at the duckpond is open till 10 p.m. daily which is really nice. There road is something else altogether. So many bums and potholes and take away from the driving. I wish they invest some of that million dollar donation to fix the road.

They've really been working at improving this zoo. It's still not the best, but with the improvements it's definitely better than it was even five years ago. The Journey to Churchill is beautiful, and some of the newer buildings (the horse barn, restaurant) are nice. It's a nice walk, not strenuous, and a good way to kill a few hours in the day.

The zoo is very well maintained and be ready to walk a lot because this place is very huge and lovely. If you can not walk or tired or have kids with you that have already small train and its stop which you do not have to pay anything just hop in and get to new attraction in the zoo.
