Enjoyed a fabulous dinner at the Mandarin on Up. James this past Tuesday with friends to celebrate my birthday! Excellent service and delicious food choices! Too bad I have only one stomach! LOL!!! Also, it's a shame that the person celebrating a birthday can't use the free meal coupon unless there are 4 people present (we were one person short). With all the business we provide throughout the rest of the year, it would nice to have at least one free meal once a year.

We went for lunch at the Mandarin in Hamilton for my Mom's 65th birthday today! It was great, the staff were great, the only thing I would complain about was I registered her for a free birthday meal 3 days ago but because we didn't get a confirmation email back they wouldn't do it!

Service and food were excellent! The buffet was always full and we never felt rushed. The restaurant looked very festive as Chinese New Year was being celebrated. There were several special New Year delicacies served that we enjoyed. Quite a few people were celebrating birthdays and the staff made it fun singing, accompanied by a tambourine and bringing candle lit desserts. Highly recommend and will return soon. Also we appreciated the birthday picture and the Chinese New Year symbol of luck coin. Nice touch!

My family and I ordered dinner for take out on New Years Eve and everything was cold, dumplings were overcooked and chicken wings were undercooked. We have ordered many times for New Years before and eaten in restaurant and everything is hot and delicious . It was very disappointing because our food was ready at least 30minutes before pick up time.

I thought the service was Great and the food is always soo good . We celebrated a Birthday there and the Birthday people were treated very nice!!! This is my favourite chinese buffet

Normally very good. Now that there is no crab legs the food on the buffet does not justify the price. Air conditioning would be nice too

We only went here for the crab, $30 for Chinese food isn’t worth it. Ah well. The last time I went was the last time I’ll go. I wish someone had told us there was no crab we could have went to Red Lobster �

Most people have eaten at a Mandarin resturaunt at least once. This location is clean with very friendly and helpful staff.

We stopped by for lunch yesterday and were seated shortly after arriving. The service was excellent and staff very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and very hot. Will definitely visit again.

We went to The Mandarin yesterday for Thanksgiving. It was terribly disappointing. Obviously it's not routinely bad. This time they had way too many people there and not enough staff. The lines were overcrowded, the food quality wasn't good at all but still was running out with along with plates. The only thing that met our expectation was the high price of the buffet. Very disappointing experience.

Went yesterday with my husband daughter and her boyfriend, the server was extremely kind however I felt like we were being rushed the server kept trying to take our plates before we were even done eating them. Before we were done our first plates he was suggesting the desert bar offered coffee before our meal beverages were finished I get it's a buffet so they want u to eat fast to fill up but i found it very rude.

The buffet was good and our server very friendly. The only thing that ruined it, was the experience concerning the "happy hoho" drink. Our server recommended it and told us we would get to keep the souvenir glass. The choices were strawberry or pina colada . We ordered the latter and when it arrived in a normal glass, I asked about it, and she said we were to keep those glasses. This was confusing when we saw others getting the holiday glasses. Well of course we didn't get to keep them and when I questioned her, she said she would ask her manager. Then she told us no we couldn't have glasses. After spending 145 dollars, I think this was the least they could have done. Too bad they let a little thing like that turn me off after all their effort in other areas!

Never having my birthday there again. The whole thing was trying to sort out the three people with birthday coupons. The rule says birthday person eats free when you bring 3 people. I brought 20 but that's not good enough. I had to force people who didn't necessarily know eachother to be on the same bill because I could only use my coupon if we were together on one bill. What does it matter? You're getting our money regardless! It was a load of unnecessary confusion and stress put on my guests.

I really enjoyed my experience and the waiter was nice and the employees were very nice and I felt very comfortable. The only thing I disliked was at the end of our meal I felt rushed like they wanted us out fast and my daughter wasn't even finished eating and they brought us the bill and seemed like they were just in a hurry to have us out.

We like the wide variety of choices at buffet counters. The Sushi bar is awesome with great selection. I have yet to find any complaints on the food menus. The staff is very courteous and efficient. The washrooms are also very clean. This has become one of our favorite places to dine.
