The staff were Excellent. We were a large party and they worked well to accommodate extra seating. The food was very good and the atmosphere was great.
The biggest detractor for me were the warm facecloths they provide. Somebody put too much cleaner/disinfectant in them, and they smelled more like turpentine. Definitely took away from the dinner as the scent was really strong.response / report this review -

So here's the thing, I love egg rolls, they are the most important reason for me to go to a Chinese style buffet. The Mandarin's Egg-rolls are really not good.
But a 5 star rating anyways? That is my point. Even though, what I consider to be the most important part of a buffet meal is a flat out 0, everything else is so good, egg rolls don't matter.
PS.: I could bath in the pepper steak, it is so amazing.response / report this review -

Great meal lots of variety! Free meal for birthday (must sign up at website) when accompanied by 3 adult meals - but didn’t expect servers to bring a cake with candle and sing happy birthday as well as give a photo souvenir of our group. People very helpful and extremely friendly!

I was visiting Ottawa as my twin lives there and my daughter. I was promised an awesome buffet before my flight @ 3 pm. Restaurant is beautiful, but after an hour long wait we had to leave as I needed to get to airport, the line was too long, we were told 35 min, then 42 on the third push back I had to leave. Picked the wrong time to go I guess!

First time visiting this location. The building is new and absolutely beautiful. Well organized and didn’t wait long to get seated (I arrived at 5pm, opening time).
Buffet was huge and always seemed to be full of fresh, hot food. Huge buffet with something for every one, including fresh sushi, prime rib roast, quesadillas and much more. The desert bar was also huge.
I was seated in D section by a hostess and was immediately attended to by the servers.
Service was amazing; my fountain soda was never empty, plates removed as I was finishing, supplied with plenty of napkins and hot/wet towel before and at conclusion of dining

This restaurant has one of the best buffets . The restaurant is clean, very welcoming atmosphere, the staff were attentive,and professional. The food was absolutely amazing, huge selection and the price is right. I will definitely be returning.

My fiancé and I decided to come here for a celebratory dinner. We absolutely loved it. There was no complaints on the selection and taste of the food, and our server, Eddy, was fantastic. She was always available to clear our table, bring us fresh drinks promptly, and always with a smile. We had a great time!

Although the food is excellent I was there tonight only to find out that you raided the price to $27.99 on the weekdays. I find that a bit to high. I am a regular customer and find that a bit much. Unfortunately we will come back but not as often. Please let Charles know thank you

First time at a Mandarin wow what a place. Ceiling is painted like clouds, Koi pond at the entrance and the food was amazing. Definitely going back just remember to make a reservation or you could be waiting for a bit

Went with my husband and a coworker for out supper break and was very impressed. We have been to a lot of buffets but nothing has even been as good as here. Well worth the money, we did not wait at all although our waiter did say that around 7-8pm there is usually a line up.

Amazing experience. My first time at this restaurant and it will not be the last. The most fabulous service I've ever experienced. The food was over the top great. It was my daughter's birthday and they sang her happy birthday and even gave her a cake. Definitely recommend the Mandarin to everyone.
