I am not an outdoor kinda girl but they ordered me non slip water shoes from a store in Montreal for me and had them shipped to my home. You.do have to pay a $5 lifetime fee though to shop there but their prices are incredible.
Extra awesome for gift shopping for my outdoor loving family

I had a sudden break in my bicycle chain on a Sunday, the typical day where nearly all bike repair shops are closed. In desperation considering I bike to work, I hauled my immobile bike to MEC in the faint hope that they could do something.

As it turns out, that was more than true: the crew at that store offered top-notch and quick service to get my bike ready for the road in less than a hour. While I was waiting, one of the clerks showed me around the story with its good selection and excellent prices to offer some sound advice. While I am loyal to my downtown businesses like To Wheels, the fact remains that MEC offers better hours and availability in critical biking situations like I had that day and for the weekdays with a typical closing time of 9 PM so I don't have to miss work.

So, while To Wheels is my first choice when time is not pressing for maintenance, purchases and repairs, MEC is the backup I can depend on when I need help at once.

I was super excited to visit the new location in London today, and I wasn't disappointed! Aside from being significantly larger than the previous location, the quality of the staff seems to have improved tenfold! Within minutes of arriving, my partner and I had *two* customer service reps helping us to decide which water filter would work best with our needs. When one staff member didn't know an answer to a question (or hadn't used the product before), the other would chime in. It really and truly was a 5-star customer service experience.

All in all, MEC is a great store, and the new London location is awesome. But more importantly, the staff deserve a pat on the back!

The gear is amazing, the staff is amazing, and their knowledge of the products is amazing.

I'm not an avid shopper but when I have to make a trip to Mac I get excited because I know it's going to be a great experience with a ton of new products to check out and drool over.

My one gripe is that the story itself could be a little bit bigger as it's one of the smallest in Canada. For a city of just under 400,000 people, you expected to be a little bit bigger So they jam a lot into a small space.

While talking with the staff I've heard that they are very supportive of biking to work which is amazing and they even have showers installed for the employees to encourage them to bike and stay active! I really like how they support the active culture from every different angle (from customers to staff).

Oh right, there's no lack of parking with the huge parking lot out front — which is nice for those of us that have to drive across the city to get to the only MEC location in London.
