Great location and views. Staff were quite helpful. Rooms in the main inn are tiny as would be expected in a old boarding house. This inn could be so much more with a little more effort. Our rooms were not turned over on the second day as mentioned in an earlier post. While the rooms are tiny a fridge in each room would be nice - at this price a client shouldn't have to request it or use a common fridge with other guests. It would be great to have both fireplaces lit at night especially in the restaurant.

The inn should seriously consider highlighting locally made products - baked goods from the bakery in Miners Bay for morning brekkie, guest soaps, and art in the rooms and guest areas from island artists. What a great untapped opportunity to support the community and make an outstanding experience for visitors!

Ditch the plastic catering trays in the rooms, invest in some good room furniture and ditch the broken lamp shades. Providing a washer and dryer for guest use would be great!

The restaurant has great potential and a wonderful location. Meals were generally very good. Light the fireplace. Place candles on the tables. Wait staff were good very helpful and pleasant - but please have them eat their meals away from the entrance to the restaurant. On our final night we waited over 45 minutes for our meal only to notice a member of the kitchen staff drinking shots at the bar. Apparently our tickets were lost and no one noticed. We did receive a healthy discount but

The smoking area was near the entrance. The butt tin was quite full and a beer bottle was in residence. The games room was good but againwith just a bit more efforthang the pictures, get some comfy chairs and lower the light levels.

As really the only inn on an island with very few places to eat it has amazing potential. I realize that you've invested money into the cabins but now its time to invest a bit more in the main inn. While we could have stayed in a cabin, we wanted the experience of staying in the old inn - what a great history to promote and highlight!!!

Loved it! Cozy room with a beautiful view! We loved the pool and hot tub, the cozy library and games room! The bistro served delicious food. We will hopefully be back one day!

Beautiful area and views. Cottages are fancy, comfortable, and have everything you need. Just knocked a star off because there were a few things in need of fixing, there are spiders / webs on the ceilings in most of the cottage rooms (just needs more of a dust!) and the spa / hot tub area was devoid of towels and a bit shabby around the edges. Would recommend, just would have liked to pay a little less for what's available.

We stayed in one of the ocean front cottages. It was our first time visiting the island and we absolutely loved it! We arrived much earlier than check in as we caught the early ferry. The staff was very accommodating and allowed us an early check in which was fantastic for us. The cottage had everything that you need and was very nice and clean. The view was absolutely spectacular and we loved that both the living room doors and bedroom doors opened right up so that you could enjoy the view inside with nice fresh air. We enjoyed playing some games in the games room and swimming in the pool/hot tub every night. Kayaking is a must - it was such a great time. We enjoyed dinner at the Bistro on the patio with the beautiful view. We plan to make this place an annual trip and can't wait to return!

My husband and I came here for a mini honeymoon after our wedding. We had never been to Mayne Island before. We really enjoyed our time at the Mayne Island Resort! The staff is so nice and they all remembered our name the whole time we stayed. I felt the staff really went above and beyond to get personal and the hospitality was great. We didn't get to eat at the resort because the restaurant was closed on the wednesday. We went kayaking and that was also really a great experience. I loved the peace and quiet here and I would definitely come back.

Great location with beautiful views and access to the beach. Our cottage was excellent, a little home away from home. Excellent service and staff, especially Brain the maintenance man who went out of his way to be friendly and helpful!

The view and location are the main reason to come here. The staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant and pub are good. It was the mattress in our room that was disappointing. It should have been replaced a long time ago and is well past it's best before date. If I hear the mattresses have been improved, l'd come back.

We booked a room in the main lodge. Everybody was very friendly at the resort and the view is beautiful. The rooms though, I must say, are in dire need of some TLC. The shower had mold in between the tiles, and the rest of the bathroom was in rough shape. Our bed and pillow were lumpy and the place smelled musty. The walls were paper thin and you could hear the conversations of the people in the next room. Wasn't quite what we were expecting unfortunately. :( We would book a cabin or villa next time.

Stayed here last summer and the location is very beautiful Great views of the water and a nice relaxing location. However if you stay here I recommend a cabin. We stayed in a room in the main area of the resort and on our last night at 12 a.m. a couple with two large dogs was allowed to check in to the next door room resulting in a lot of noise
