Been here twice now about a year apart. Food is great although the escargot could use a bit more salt. But the roasted duck special, seared scallops in cheese were delicious! Wine is always pleasant and great value there. Our server both times were very attentive. This place does get packed in shortly 15 minutes after opening so make sure you have reservations!
Fantastic!! Awesome food! Good service!! I love my order Duck with warm salad (don't remember the name of it), it was amazing! Reservation is recommended. Will go back for sure!! Yum yum!!
Spectacular ambiance. The menu has great price options, and the entree sizes were too large to finish for me. I particularly enjoyed the beet and blue cheese salad. Also the servers speak French!
Go for the food. Hold your nose for the service. Nice food and good value (~$20 per plate), nice ambiance . *However*, the service is highly variable. Rarely good (forget about excellent) usually mid range or worse. Examples? How about sitting 10 minutes before a server first shows up. Or dirty dishes sitting on the table for over (literally) 20 minutes. Or the server asking "how much are you going to tip me?". I could go on.
I live in the neighbourhood and have been going here since the place opened (7 years?). For service of this poor level for such a long period it must be the management. It can't be an accident that something bad does not get fixed over the better part of a decade.
I guess they just don't care.
Consistently excellent food and service. Never disappoints, and always manages to maintain quality. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu but always look to the specials for a rewarding dining experience.
This is a classic French Bistro which can put a checkmark in all areas a restaurant should consider. Food and beverage, service and ambience is all extraordinary. Prices are steep but there is value in knowing that they'll not screw things up. European style French restaurant with a strong kitchen that ranks right up there with some of the best in the city, in my opinion.
I had heard about this place for a while but never tried it as French food isn't a love of mine. It ended up be a fantastic place with delicious options. I split the two main specials (bison steak - very nice but a bit too rare for my liking & bacon wrapped pork tenderloin which was great). Service was fast and pleasant and the meal was well priced given the side of the dishes. A great spot to check out for a date night or dinner with friends.
Reservations required, glad I had one! This small restaurant had amazing food throughout the night. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying themselves as well. The staff soak French (if you want) making the experience all the better! Food was incredible!
We came here for a birthday dinner. We reserved a table a week in advance. The restaurant started at 5:30pm for dinner. We went there right at 5:30pm. The restaurant was empty at that moment but it filled with customers gradually. Only the counter top bar had seats remaining.
We ordered a couple of appetizers and a couple of main courses. We loved and enjoyed the food. We found that the customer service was excellent. Our server always checked on our needs. He chatted with us, smiled, made sure we enjoyed the food and gave us water all the time.
The restaurant is always busy. Remember to reserve a table in advance if possible. They are always full that walk in customers may be able to get seats at the counter top bar.
Their interior design is always the same. A server is still using a notepad and a pen to write down all customers who make reservations. It is very old school and it is a traditional style of writing everything down on a piece of paper. Maybe it is just their style. I am fine with it as long as the food and customer service are good!
Walked in hoping to dine there. With all the tables taken, we fully expected to wait the time it took. What we didnt expect was the poor attitude of the waitress/hostess. She was not welcoming, basically told us that there was nothing available and that there was no waiting. When i pointed out the empty table for two in the corner, she told us that it was not available. Riiiight. No matter how amazing a restaurant's food may be reported to be, if the wait staff can't even be friendly, they don't deserve another chance.
We had a 6:30pm reservation. We arrived on time, but had to wait 30 minutes for our table. We were comped a glass of wine, but had to stand by the door dodging patrons for a half hour while we waited. The food was good, but not worth the wait. The average service we were given did't make up for the inconvenience. We won't be back.
All the dishes were delicious, and the service was not bad. Some of the dishes were served a little cold, but still quite tasty. It's a great place to have a small celebration with friends on a special occasion.

Friendly staff and quick service. Food came within 10 mins of ordering before I could finish enjoying the complimentary bread. Steak was tender and good portion for its price. Highly recommended. Parking space very limited in the area.
