If you serve alcohol, have a drink menu. The service was kind of slow, the drinks were okay, but I was amazed they didn't have a menu for drinks
The food was expensive and gave tiny portions. Jalapeño poppers didn't even taste like they had jalapeño peppers in them and were nothing special, seemed almost like they were previously frozen or something.The potato skins were extremely depressing and didn't have an even amount of toppings.response / report this review -

Seriously the worse over cooked chicken wings ever and the poutine fries only have gravy and cheese on the top layer. When mentioned to waitress she said pre packaged thats the way it is! Spending 9.00 on fries you should not have to ask for extra gravy and cheese! The table next to me also complaining her half ceasar salad was half the size of my ceasar salad! After Coming here for years i have to say quality and service is not as good. And now waiting over an hour for my wings i sent back! Overall review poor. If you want wings go to smittys on friday and saturdaygreat food great service!

My wife and I just stopped in the Quarterway to have some dinner around 630pm. We were greeted at our table by a young woman asking us for our ID's. We replied that were were not there to drink but just to have some supper. We were asked to leave the restaurant because we did both have photo ID on us. Very poor service after a long day of work.. Was not a pleasant experience. We would not recommend this venue to anyone in the Nanaimo area.

This is pretty much an old style Canadian beer parlour. The food is tasty. The beer selection is pretty basic mostly standard Canadian brand names and no craft beer. The wine selection is minimal. Cocktails are made to order. All said, it's a pleasant place to converse with others while wetting your whistle.

Food aas pretty good, although the shrimp was undercooked. The staff were horrified and extreamly apologetic and comped the meal. The server was attentive, and the food was served promptly

The atmosphere is warm and friendly, the food is delicious and Saturday night Karaoke is always a great time.
While many establishments certainly offer a similar experience what sets the Quarterway apart from the rest is the staff. They welcome you in as if it's their home and ensure you are well taken care of and you have a great time!response / report this review -

Staff is good, beer selection could be better on tap eg. more local craft beer. Wings night on Wednesdays is great. Other food is decent as well, good pub grub.
