Hotel was very clean, friendly staff, and in a great location. 5 -10 minutes walk to the Skytrain, free parking, and shuttle service to the airport. Breakfast was great and the check-in/check-out was simple and easy. Fast and efficient. Housekeepers were nice and quite witty, as the front desk staff was very considerate as well as friendly. Would recommend and definitely go again

I stay here regularly as I am in Vancouver often for business. The hotel's recently been renovated, the rooms are clean and contemporary. I like the big desk and (finally) lots of plugs etc above the desk surface for easy access. The one thing I dont care for is the breakfast. They renovated that area, and for some reason, they took a well laid out space and made it choppy and not well laid out. Plates are here, knives and forks on the other side of the room, cups and coffee somewhere else. The food is meh, it's big on stodge -- breads, cereals, pancakes etc , plus I don't eat pork so when they have pork sausage, western omelettes and bacon on the same day I eat elsewhere. No real consideration for those who do not eat those foods and all HIE hotels have the same menu.

Great location, clean and quiet room. The breakfast has lots of room for improvement however. The pancake is neither fluffy nor soft. The Turkish sausage is dry and lack of any flavor. Somehow the plate, cups, knife and forks were put in three separate places and are not intuitive to find.

I stayed here for business and am not usually an IHG guest. The staff was super accommodating and gave me and upgraded room with a king bed. The house keeping staff is super friendly and anytime you walk by the say hello and wish you a great day. The breakfast in the morning is normal for a hotel nothing super amazing to report their. However their coffee and tea selection is great.

They are renovating and the new renovations were amazing!

Only downside is a Costco next door with late night truck deliveries. They seem to be aware of the issue and working on correcting it.

We had a wonderful 3-day stay here. We were on the newly renovated floor. Very nice. Great location, close to sky train. Staff was very helpful with maps and directions. Breakfast hardy and healthy. We would definitely recommend this location.

The room was wonderful, it was clean, modern, and the staff were friendly. My only issue is that construction next door started at 8:00 in the morning. I really wanted to get a few more hours of sleep other than that I have no complaints.

Stayed here to go to the Richmond Night Market and Illumination Night Market. Very close to the market, within a 1-2 Mile drive away. King sized beds were great. I think the bathtubs could have been cleaner as I was hoping to soak with a bath bomb. Front staff very friendly. There's parking available after you check in, but not much street parking. There's a Costco lot across the street though. Because it's close to the airport, there's a lot of airplanes flying overhead. I didn't really notice the sound from my room on the 5th floor. Breakfast was pretty limited and unappetizing. Coffee tasted burnt. Overall a good stay.

Very nice and modern. Bed feels extremely comfy. Room very clean. Still not the value for what you pay though. I expected more. No restaurant/ bar in the hotel which was disappointing. Staff was helpful and friendly. Still going through some Reno's.

The hotel is under renovation. Dirt/dry wall pieces in the elevator. Staff very helpful and patient. Restaurants near by-pub and great food in hotel nearby. Also Asian restaurant across the street. Easy walk to the "T" which whisks you into downtown Vancouver.

Location was excellent in relation to the airport and nearby food, and the hotel is very new/nice looking. The bedrooms are perhaps a little smaller than they could be but it was more than enough for us. The only reasons I couldn't give 5 stars were because getting into the parkade is difficult (it is a very steep ramp where you have to key in) and the lobby was undergoing renovations at the time I visited. Looks like it will be very nice when completed though!

Got in late to Vancouver and needed a place to stay. The staff was super accommodating and even sent a shuttle to the airport for my brother who landed later than I did. Room was clean and perfect for us to crash the night.

Check was easy (over the phone), great rates and was able to check one early. The room has everything you need and offer complimentary toiletries (if required). For me, the bed and pillows weren't the most comfortable. The mattress was a little spingy and pillows (firm and soft) a little too high. But, that's just my opinion on comfort. The breakfast included in your stay looked really good although I didn't have a chance to have any myself. Last point was 7 people showed up for the shuttle, but they could only take 6. They did call a cab for the people that couldn't fit into the shuttle. My recommendation would be to have people schedule the shuttle in advance to avoid overbooking. We had spoken to the front desk the night prior to put our names down for the shuttle and we thankfully got on. The shuttle drivers were very kind and I provided a tip for their service, it's too bad I didn't see any other passengers tip. Overall, nice one night stay and would recommend this airport hotel.

I was given a dirty room. The front desk was a little confused at first so I asked for a new room came down got my keys, thinking eh maybe I got an upgrade. Nope. So the next morning went down asked if they could do anything and the gentleman was like no, and said he'd pass it on to his manager. I never heard back so called back and got the manager and he said he saw the note. No apology. As well as said he couldn't do anything about it. I paid for my car to be parked there for a couple days he said he couldn't even credit me back that. I would have been happy if they upgraded the room for me but that wasn't even an option. So thank you Holiday Inn Express for your terrible customer service. The shuttle on the other hand is awesome and the covered parking but a clean room would have been lovely.
