This is Elizabeth King (or Lizzy), a Girl Guide in grade 10 with a mission. In summer of 2017, she attended Take Action Camp through Me to We and was inspired to make a difference in her community.
Currently, her sister Stephanie attends our ATSNAP program and Lizzy wants to raise funds to keep the program running to benefit teens with disabilities. Her passion to give back is amazing and we want you to help cultivate her belief that she can make a difference.

Who: Children with disabilities age 6-12 years old. How Much: one time $20.00 registration fee
We have partnered with the Autism Society and Support 4 Moms to run K-SNAP (Kids – Special Needs Activity Program). This program is designed for children 6-12 years of age who would benefit from a semi-structured group program where they will improve on their physical fitness and social communication. Each session will be lead by one representative from FMBGC, Autism Society, and Support 4 Moms.
We are currently in need of volunteers (aged 14 and up) to support our facilitators. Please visit https://fmbgc.ca/volunteer/ to sign up or more information. Volunteers over 18 will require a criminal record check.

AT-SNAP is our inclusive youth program that is open to teens age 12-21! It is a FREE Drop-in event every Wednesday. This program gives vulnerable youth an opportunity to experience new recreational and leisure opportunities and build relationships with other youth within the community.

This is Daisy Coles. Last August, her incredible family planned and executed a very successful Fort McMurray Show & Shine in support of our AT-SNAP and K-SNAP programs for kids and youth with disabilities. Their original goal to raise was $2,000, but when they dropped off the money they blew their goal out of the water and raised $4,313.90!!
All of us at FMBGC feel honored to know such selfless, kind-hearted and hard-working people. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, David, Daisy, Jennifer, Nicolas and Grandma Jean!

Last month, our ZAP kids stopped by the Fort Mcmurray Fire Department to present their "Thank You" painting for educating them on fire safety and their incredible role in our community. We are so grateful for their incredible support and want to recognize them for putting caring in motion in many ways!
