And one more!! Another house on its way down. This one is actually a throwback from 2 weeks ago. This little gem in Queen Alexandra was built in 1949 and was a whole 630 sqft. Other than the foundation, which had more cracks than the Donald, the house was in perfect shape! However, progress can’t be stopped! In its place will be a state-of-the-art 2050 sq ft Shipping Container home! You read that right - a home made out of recycled SeaCans! Instead of killing trees to build our home we’re using a more perfect material (steel) that would otherwise be left to rot in a old freight yard somewhere! This home is fire and mild resistant, has a higher R value, is wired for Solar Panels and comes ready for a Secondary Suite! Want more details? Checkout our website! Such fantastic news for all new home buyers and investors in YEG! In anticipation of these regulations coming into effect, Copperblock has been designing all our projects over the last year with separate access and heating/ventilation chases required for secondary suites. Therefore, if you buy any one of our houses you can expect to have the flexibility to suite the basement!

Fantastic news about the Canadian economy, and more importantly for Alberta. Oil is on the rise as investment in the Oil Sands is at its highest point in a half-decade. What a way to celebrate Canada Day! With the purchase of two assembled 50’ lots in Westmount!
