Always great paninis, they always make them fresh. Ask for hot sauce if you like it spicy.. My favorites are veal and chicken sandwiches.
Also I get their olives becauae they are great as a snack, they come with onions and jalapenos. Whenever I get the everyone eats them before me.response / report this review -

I always crave a nice chicken or veal sandwich from there. If you like olives, make sure you get a side order of their olives with your sandwich. They dress them with onion, jalapeno, chilli pepper flakes and olive oil, for a great spicy taste. Eat in or take out, food is delicious. I think it's a bit pricey, but they're not stingy on protein. They also have some veggie options like eggplant and zucchini. Try one od their sandwiches and see the quality for yourself.

Sandwiches are always great! The staff has to do a better job with managing increased volume though. Waited 15 minutes for my order.

California Sandwiches has to be the best Sandwich restaurant in the GTA! My all time favourite location is Chesswood! The staff are professional and friendly, the environment is nice and Clean. Everything from the menu taste amazing. Great quality ingredients,Definitely a place to check out if you're craving a good sandwich! 10+

Have applied to this location recently, one of the ladies called and was talking on the phone with was nice and asked for me to come in for an in store interview. I did so, had it with another lady and this was the first time ever going through religious discrimination in a workplace setting. I mentioned I cannot work Saturday but I can work everyday other than that day. Her excuse of not hiring me is" it isn't fair for people that has been working here for 15 years and would have to work on sat and that a new person takes that day off". She still kept on asking why can't you work one of the 2 sat shift .

Very good sandwiches. Veal hot peppers and a brio and your all set. Its clean, fast and good food. Lots of parking good staff. Prices are a bit high but you get what you pay for and its worth the extra cost compared to what you would get at a fast food hamburger place. Hey eat good.

Good sandwiches but I have never seen the people who work here in a good mood. You work in services, lose the attitude and show some gratitude to your customers who keep you in business. Your shifts will go by faster if you learn to smile once in a while.

Food was good however portions were small for amount paid. Didn't enjoy the service as the staff looked at me like I was a freak! Not a freakjust a tomboy and a lesbian! Gotta love generational gap and multiculturalism. I don't judge cause you're from Italy or Portugal and struggle to speak intelligent English. Don't judge me!!!

Decent tasting sandwiches. Meat portions are small. Prices are very high. Same staff working for years..rather interesting. $11-12 for a sandwich with a couple of toppings? Very pricey for what youre getting. You should be offering some sort of combo value menus with a drink and a small cup of olives or something. I bet it would be very successful. I can go to San Francisco Sandwiches down the street have a larger portion for $5-6 less. Maybe the quality and ambience is not identical but pretty close and does the job.
