Comfortable beds, modern and updated room. Don’t judge this hotel by its exterior. The renovations are quite nice. Good customer service. Room was very clean. Even for a room right across the elevators, it was still relatively quiet.

Had late dinner here from a bus trip. The staff was professional and friendly. The food was great and the experience was good. I find the place cozy and relaxing. Great for having a drink while waiting.

I've stayed here for business a few times. During this stay, I've had various issues with the hotel. My floor was under some sort of water drying renovation that had air machines which made noises all through the night. My window unit makes loud screeching noises that wakes me up, unresolved even after calling. The front entrance is under renovations which is an annoyance. However the rooms themselves are nice with great furnishings. They need to have a hook for winter coats. The M Club is great for breakfast and snacks.

The Marriot is located in a very central and good location. Right next to Stephen Ave, there are many shops and restaurants/pubs to enjoy. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and assisted with our inquiries promptly and efficiently. There is a Starbucks coffee in the lobby which is always nice to have.

This hotel had a very posh lobby. They were near a row of restaurants. There is a nice fireplace that gave good heat and warmth. The staff was excellent too. Always ready to help with a smile. Their coffee shop as well as bar had good offerings. In the end, it was about location, modernity and service. Highly recommended.

Was pleasantly surprised that the hotel has the ability to watch Netflix and TED talks! Great location right in the heart of downtown. Getting transportation, food, drinks, etc has been a breeze.

Hotel is clean and the staff is friendly & professional. My only complaint is there was an issue with my payment. I was under the impression I had prepaid for the room months ago when I booked and discovered I didn't then had to pay for the whole thing with a debit card instead which there are more fees associated with. But it was either pay that way or be stranded in a foreign country with no place to stay. The hotel itself is really nice though.

When we arrived for the weekend, we were greeted by a friendly bellhop who helped us with parking and the luggage. Upon entering the cozy lobby, you'll catch a whiff of Marriott's signature scents. I don't know what it is but it's almost floral and immediately relaxes you.
The staff went above and beyond here. Front desk informed me that we've been upgraded to a room with an awesome view of the Calgary Tower. In addition, she signed me up for their loyalty program (free) which gave me complimentary access to WiFi. As their welcome" to the program, they surprised us with a bottle of champagne and chocolates the next day.
The room was clean and spacious as was the case for the rest of the hotel. The hotel itself was located in the core of downtown, walking distance to shopping and bars. I definitely would stay here again and Marriott in general when I travel.response / report this review -

They go out of thier way to make your stay memorable. The staff are great, Rooms very cozy and modern. One18 Empire restaurant is super delicious. Overall Fabulous.

Fantastic location, great modernized rooms, and friendly service. The beds were vet comfortable, and the rooms were quiet. Unlike most hotels with crappy TV systems, this one had a Samsung smart TV and was easy to pair with my phone. The M lounge was busier than expected, but, well stocked. Definitely staying here again.

Great option for a downtown Calgary hotel. Rooms are recently renovated and very spacious. The staff was friendly and very helpful and Marriott's mobile app is extremely useful. Definitely recommend this hotel especially considering the rooms are very competitively priced.

Been coming to Calgary for the last couple of months on a recent assignment and this has been my preferred place of stay. I have stayed in a number of Marriott hotels across the USA but this has got to be the best so far considering the price per night and the tier level. Located in the heart of the town with a lot of restaurants around, makes it all the more convenient for a consultant like me. Very spacious rooms that looks hip and brand new, good restaurant in-house and a pretty good gym. Got a CrossFit place that just 2 blocks away. Has the best in class service from the people who work here. Prices are very reasonable when you take other tier 1 hotels in the same area. Couldn't have been more happier. Will be my preferred hotel for as long as I am asked to travel to Calgary for my assignment.

We would like to share our experience, I took my wife for a stay for her Birthday. Booking was easy, and we had the romance package. Form the second we arrived we were treated professionally and taken care of. All staff and the front desk especially were amazing. They had my wife's information and with out asking they had a signed card and special gift sent directly to our room. They continued to ensure our stay was perfect and gave attention to every detail. We enjoyed our stay and strongly recommend this hotel for business and pleasure.
