Love the newly renovated decor in the lobby including the lovely waterfall, and even fresh cream, etc. Great and friendly staff and best of all, comfortable and clean rooms especially those with a view of the Nanaimo Harbourfront. Great feeling to wake up to see the water and breath taking natural scenery from bed! Will come again with more gal pals.

Older hotel but nicely updated. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Good location in harbour area, easy connection to ferry, seaplane and highway.

My fiance and I stayed in this lovely hotel for one night. I must say we were both blown away with the attitude and professionalism of the receptionist, Eli. This young gentleman exceeded our expectation in anyway and made us feel very special. People like this deserve the best in this world. Stay awesome Eli!

Last minute reservation. Nice room. Quiet with a comfortable bed. Parking is pretty limited, so you may have a long walk. The staff was helpful and attentive.

Clean well appointed room with a great harbor view. Central to the downtown core and waterfront. Expect a very soft bed so ask if they have any firm if you need it. We didn't. My fault but back paid the price. The restaurant and small lounge are not open for very long but there are a lot of other places close so it wasn't really that big a deal. Overall very decent value for the cost. I would actually have given it 3 and a half stars but can't figure out how on the review.

Lovely clean hotel, comfy bed, quick check in and nice view of the ocean from nearly all rooms. It's also close to the Lighthouse restaurant and other eateries, as well as near to the float plane terminals. We stayed there with a 3 month old and staff were very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend it!

Nice, clean hotel. Great location. Good price. However, parking lot was full by the time of my arrival. Parked in a city run lot a block or two away.

I have stayed overnight. It is pretty good hotel. It is located in a quiet place and you could sleep with the open window. Be aware that the electricity in the bathroom will be turned off with the light. Therefore, do not try to charge your gadgets in the bathroom - you will be disappointed at morning.

The room was very nice, very clean. Lots of space. We had to use the sofa bed, which was expectedly uncomfortable, but the children did not complain and had a good night's rest. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating was because of an awful fishy odor in the hallway, perhaps from another room. Aside from that, I would definitely recommend this place. It is the best Best Western hotel that I've stayed in.

Very nice 3 star hotel. Great location and within walking distance of restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops. Only complaint would be the room was a bit small. The bed was nice and the room had very nice furnishings.

What a great hotel. I was in Nanimo for business, and can't imagine a nicer place to stay. It was so good, we arranged our next business event to be held there in August.
I'm very much looking forward to returning.

I booked this hotel online and walked in a few minutes later. The man at the front could not have been more welcoming and efficient. The location is great, restaurants within walking distance. room was clean and comfortable. This was the first time I have stayed here, and will return for sure. The parking being a bit away from the hotel was the only critique I had, but it was free, so does not negate a stay. Highly recommended.

The Hotel was decent, the room small but clean, I had requested both an early check in and a view and neither were "noted" on my reservation. The staff was friendly but not willing to accommodate either request at the time of check in. Bed was quite hard and parking is dismal. I do have to say it is an amazing location though.

This hotel is not customer service friendly especially at the front desk in the evening. If you are there with a sports team, the evening staff have no tolerance for kids even when they are not doing anything wrong. The hotel smells and is dirty. Cleaning under the bed sometime would be a good idea! Room cleaning is sparse and toilet paper is distributed sparingly! Parking is terrible and not guaranteed at the hotel, I had to park twice at the Coast Bastion. I was reimbursed but parking there was a major inconvenience. The only good thing about the hotel is the water view.

Old building that had a makeover 10 years ago. No parking available if hotel is more than 50% full. The guests in room above us were not making any noise but we could hear their every strep and when they use bathroom. TV has no HD although Internet was very good. Dust behind sofa-bed. Work chair had broken hydraulics. Very small bathroom with noisy fan. Hotel restaurant is very good for breakfast but avoid or lunch/dinner.
