Both Dr. Faltyn and Dr. Murphy are fabulous vets—knowledgeable, kind to their patients, and honest with the guardians (like my hisband and me!). Warm, human, generous with their time and attention. We’ll continue using them as our vets “forever”. The staff is likewise wonderful—trained, responsible and caring. What a wonderful place to go.

The best vet in the city!
Dr.Murphy is a wonderful man, really takes care and shows it with every appointment. He always takes the extra time to answer all of your questions and my dog loves him!
The rest of the staff is always friendly, no matter how busy it is. They always call to follow up after every appointment, and make reminder calls! I really appreciate the kindness and care this vet office offers.

Very well at explaining what's going on with my dog, seem very busy but was still able to awnsered some extra questions I had over the phone, made the process of having a terminally ill dog much more comfortable and less confusing. Prices were very reasonable.

I had been coming to the Hospital for a couple of years just to buy my cat his special food, but when I moved within walking distance of the Hospital I decided to make it my cat's regular vet clinic. All of the staff and both of the vets here are super friendly and caring. The prices are really reasonable, but it's the level of care that has impressed me. My cat had a dental surgery here and some tests for a urinary issue and I've been so impressed at the time I'm given. The vets here spend lots of time with you in person and are also great with phone follow-up. I've never felt pressured to get procedures/tests that were not necessary. I've also witnessed staff being super patient and very polite with other client's when I've been waiting. Blue Cross is an awesome neighbourhood vet that I would totally recommend!

This hospital has been taken over by *new vets* who are absolutely fantastic. I cannot rave enough about these new owners, who are the most incredible vets I have yet encountered. They are recent grads of the best Canadian vet colleges and I swear they must have graduated top-of-class - they are up to date on the very latest developments in treatments and new medicines and they have basically saved my dog's life after he had reached a breaking point in struggling with allergies and infections. Although I have moved away from the area I go all the way across town to get to them. Every time we visit, I am loaded down with so much information and tips, trial medicines, etc -- I honestly don't feel like I have paid enough! When do you ever say that about a vet visit! I cannot recommend these guys highly enough.

The people who took over BCPH from Dr. Hartney have made it clear over the years that making an extra buck is more important to them than the welfare of animals. They are a business, yes, and they also provide a much needed service used by people from across the income spectrum.
My elderly parents are among them and are living of their modest retirement savings in a very expensive city. They have always paid BCPH for services rendered and for medication and supplies and never carried a balance. They have been customers there for over 15 years.
And yet BCPH sees fit to nickel and dime them and other people and other people in similar circumstances by raising prices without warning, charging hefty fees on split orders and changing policy without warning and demanding upfront payment before ordering medication. From reliable long-time customers who never carry a balance who have spent several thousand dollars at the clinic.
This greedy behaviour is shameful and reflects badly on the owner-operators. I will no longer be recommending BCPH to friends and acquaintances.response / report this review -

Blue Cross is wonderful. Have been taking my cat and dogs there for the past 3 years. Very patient and knowledgeable staff. Their relaxed, resident cat in the waiting room is perfect for setting the chill mood for your pet when you enter. I've since moved across town but still make the trip over for my pet's needs. 🐶 🐈 ⭐️

Dr. Monica Faltyn is absolutely fantastic! Our cat was just not eating enough and Dr. Faltyn did a great job covering the bases with what may or may not have been wrong. I had been to a different vet the day before and hadn't been that confident in where we were going, though had a completely different experience with Dr. Faltyn. She explained what she wanted to test for and why. She was great with our kitty, very thorough in her exam as well. Dr. Faltyn called me the next day to go over the results and another person there called again today just to check in and make sure things were ok. Fantastic staff and brilliant vet!

Easily one of the best vets I have ever visited. Dr. Murphy was very friendly and gentle with my cat who had lost a sizable amount of weight. The Dr. was very calming and my cat never became stressed during the visit. He very quickly made a couple suggestions as to the diagnosis (which were confirmed) and suggested a blood test to confirm (which returned exactly as he thought). The Dr. was not pushy, described all the possible risks, benefits and costs and left it to me to determine the best course of action. My cat improved immediately after visiting and is thriving. I highly recommend the vet.
