We quickly ran into the liquor store. Surprisingly good prices and selection. Very friendly clerk!

I feel it's very nice though the lack of soap and towels in the room when we came in was annoying, we had to ask for it. The atmosphere is comfortable but theres broken lights in the halls and a party down the hall was not contained until last midnight. Beds are nice tho, wifi is ok, tv doesnt suck

No elevator to 2nd floor, you have to take all luggage up the stairs. No air conditioning in room, only has fan available. Breakfast included and pretty good to start off your day. Hotel is at the end of Banff Ave which is away from the tourist area but very close to the highway.

The whole place was really nice! One thing I have a grudge about is there was no elevator. Having to lug up a 50lbs suitcase was not very fun. Other than that, the service was great and the people were helpful.

Don't know what's up with main pic that shows uploldefinitely no timber added to itanyways, it's old and in need of updatingbut the staff are friendly and the room is decent.better than I expected from most other recent reviews. The beds/bedding are new and sleep was great.
The outside patio and pool area is lovely too!

Please set a new industry standard in making changes to your pool/hot tub hrs!make them later or even 24 hrs for most enjoying an evening stroll along the Avenue that want to soak past 10pm.
Make it the guests responsibility to be respectful of noise or they loose the privilege.

Trying to understand why the Hotel management takes a $100 on top on the room rate at check-in and then refunds it at check-out? Most bookings are done with a credit card so little chance of customers not paying. Not sure if what they do is even legal. Apart from that, no complaints. Our original room had a noisy air conditioning unit but we were upgraded to a King room for the next night. Staff were friendly and the restaurant good.

Stayed here with a group because it was the cheapest option in Banff. I would not stay here otherwise for the price. Room was clean, front desk was helpful. Cheap and cheerful at best. The cigarette smoke coming from the non-smoking rooms was extremely unpleasant to have to walk by. The outdoor hot pool is not really warm enough to enjoy in the winter.

Good location easy to get too. Good sized rooms, clean, nice, enough space, plus a balcony. Parking is great, undercover parking, enough spaces. The one thing I found odd is that the place has a bottle shop attached to it. I found it weird that people could come in and buy alcohol, and still have access to the rest of the rooms. Breakfast was a bit of a mess, lots of people coming in to the room and not having enough space to seat them all. Besides that, good amenities, gambling was available, which I also found odd.

Located at the end of downtown. Generally shabby decor. Room was a good size. The heat in the hotel was broken, room was about 15 degrees the whole time. They offered us extra blankets. Sauna and hot tub were ok. Service was good. Breakfast was good. Staff were courteous and brought us extra towels and blankets in a reasonable time.

Stayed for one night and froze out butts off. The rooms are dated and this hotel is in need of renovations, however, that makes the rates a great bargain compared to other Banff hotels. Service was not very good, called to have a couple of wine glasses brought to our room, 25 minutes later, nothing. Called front desk again and was told someone was on break so had to wait 15 more minutes or walk to front desk and ask. Went to the front desk, it was busy so waited almost 10 minutes to ask and was told they couldn't get me wine glasses and to go to the lounge and ask. Whole process took almost an hour. Our room was only 17 degrees, had the heat up to 25 and hoped the room would heat up. When we got back from dinner and a few drinks our room was still 17 degrees and no one was at the front desk anymore. Upon checkout we were told there was a problem with the boiler and had we complained they would have moved us to the hotel next door. WTF? They should have called every room and let us know there was an issue and let us decide what we want to do. Not impressed at all with the level of service.

Not the best not the worst. You get what you pay for. Room was nice enough, clean and spacious. The pool and hotub was under renovation when I was there; but I've been in it before and the outdoor pool is pretty cool! Overall not too bad
