great staff, spacious clean rooms, comfy king-size bed, huge jet tub and a large covered balcony. we'll make this our regular place to stay when in Banff. 😊

The staff were friendly and they did notify us about renovations. This hotel is a great location along the main street of Banff.
We had no bath towels but they did bring up in a reasonable amount of time. The room was clean. We asked for a separate bedroom as we had our child with us and wanted some " Private" time. The room was with a false wall with two big vents for air circulation so there was no chance at even a whisper not being heard as our child informed us" I can hear you guys"

Clean rooms and spacious. Heated underground parking although anyone can access it. They were doing renovations during our stay. We thought that it would be relatively quiet, but it was loud everyday starting from 9am. Definitely worth checking on their website if renovations are complete before staying there. Currently the rooms are outdated but I guessing that after the renovation is completely it will be a lovely place to stay.

Rooms were clean, spacious, and well layed out. Price was fine. Only snag, renovations were a bit inconvenient. I'm sure this will be a top notch place when they are finished.

Well, maybe 4 stars, but I expect much more for the price. Maybe that's my problem, not the hotel's
OK, it's in Banff, it's Canada 150, OK it's not a bad hotel. I suppose I would expect the free orange juice at reception to last past 10am for the the price.

Cute hotel with clean rooms and friendly staff. Prompt service, parking available, efficient house cleaning. Banff is a very cute little town and you are not too far from anything. Only down side is the price.

Great for what we needed. Clean room with 2 good beds and cheaper than some of their competition on the same street. We did not use/require much for service but limited interaction with staff was pleasant. They call themselves green if you're into that and have separate garbage pails in the room for regular or recyclable. There is a pool and I believe 2 hot tubs. Our nice sized room also had a table and 2 chairs, a mini fridge and a small patio. This was a nice clean place to stay right near the shops in Banff. Not the fanciest or most updated but I don't mean that in a negative way. Great location and room for normal people that want a hotel room in an expensive touristy town. Standard bathroom, sink, and closet in the room as well as TV. Also underground parking there.

The price was pretty unreasonable to stay for a mere 16 hour stay --- $330 per night for a one bedroom suite for our family of 5 --- but that is probably on par for similar rooms in Banff, I'm not sure. The room was nice and spacious, seemed newly renovated to me. Had a kitchenette with microwave, mini fridge, and sink. The walls really are paper thin, as another reviewer described, to the hallway and could hear +++ traffic outside, our room faced Banff Avenue. I specifically asked for a *crib* for our 1 year old and even called ahead to make sure it was a *CRIB* and they said yes, it was noted on our reservation, there would be a CRIB. I even told them I was thankful because I didn't want to use a playpen, I wanted a crib. Low and behold when I arrive, there is a small playpen for our son. Playpen "mattresses" are awful, which is why I wanted a CRIB, so I put a blanket as a 'mattress' to help with his comfort. Be aware of this and make sure you ask if they even have cribs, if this is important to you.

The pool was not open until 9:00 AM, which is unacceptable for families with young children who get up early :) I probably would not have booked here if I had done my research more thoroughly. Having said that, the pool was very spacious and open and had a nice big wall-windows to see Banff Avenue.

The restaurant attached to the hotel, Tocini, was closed for a private function on a Sunday morning, so we had to go elsewhere. This would have been nice to be made aware of in advance and the young man at the desk was not able to refer us to a family-friendly restaurant, luckily we found Ricky's All Day Grill not too far down the road, which was amazing. Staff at the desk were pretty monotone and not terribly enthusiastic, but they got the job done, which is the most important thing.

Likely wouldn't stay here again.

Great hotel. Had a 2 bed room suite. Perfect for 2 couples. Good location. Attentive staff who answer quickly. Would stay again for sure!

High Country Inn is probably the best place to stay in Banff for the cost. The rooms are nothing spectacular, but they are cheap for what you're getting, and the hotel is right by downtown, walking distance to everything. The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and courteous.
However
They charge your credit card $150.00 for your stay, instead of taking your card information and charging you if you leave the room in disarray
It's been over a week since we stayed there, and the money still hasn't been refunded.
My credit card company has informed me that the hotel has cancelled the charge, but then the credit card company sends a refund request to the hotel, and instead of accepting the refund request, they wait for the request to expire and then the money comes back on your card.
They could have accepted it and had the money back to me last week, but they just let it expire
For this reason alone, we will not he staying here ever again, regardless of price

Service was top-notch. Providing towels, extra bedding and phone chargers. We stayed in the Jr. Family suite and there could have been more cutlery and flatware (only 4 sets) as the room could accommodate 6 people. Rooms were clean and freshened up daily. Overall pleasant visit.

Great little inn. Price was good and coffee/juice each morning in the lobby was a nice touch. Our room had a fridge and a coffee machine. There was no "mountain-view" as stated when we booked. Maybe it's just one of those things where as long as you can see a part of any mountain, they call it mountain view. Which is realistically, every hotel in Banff. Heated underground parking and wifi also included. Within 10 minutes walking distance to downtown.

Had a great stay. The pool is nice and the hot tub is very hot! Change rooms are clean. The hotel rooms are clean and seem to be updated. Bed was comfortable. The hotel itself looks outdated and the parking and elevator are very old but it does not make the stay any less comfortable. Friendly staff and it is well situated for walking in to the core of downtown Banff. I would stay again.

Nice staff, convenient location close to downtown. However, very bare bones (example no microwave in room). But, a good value all things considered. Four stars based on value not overall quality. There are nicer places to stay in town if you don't mind paying a bit more.
