A nice no-frills stay with a very friendly staff. Water in our cabana was brownish though, so we avoided showering and used bottled water for brushing teeth.

I have a long history with Jungle Jeanie. I stayed at the beautiful jewel on the sea for over 6 months. Always made to feel not just “welcome” but like family. It is a true jungle experience, not some fancy concrete jungle but a true Belizean cultural jungle. I love it and if you are looking to “chill” and maybe even do yoga 3 days a week; this is for you. I might see you there someday 🙏🙏

Wonderful property run by delightful people at a good price. Don't come here expecting luxury But if you think of it as a step above camping at a lovely beach, you can't go wrong.

Jeanie, Kevin, and the rest of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Prices are below average and the accommodations are plain but clean. If you are looking for something not too fancy, that is off the beaten path with a beautiful ocean view, this is the place for you.

Loved this place! Excellent and clean cabanas right on the beach, free kayaks and paddleboards, and truly fantastic service. They only have 8 cabanas or so for a truly boutique experience.

Very friendly staff! They made herbal tea for my boyfriend who fell ill while we were there. Unfortunately, we both were bit several times while in the bed and awoke to welts on our bodies. The lights in the bathroom shorted and even just touching the switch turned them on and off - very dangerous. The pillows were so lumpy we both had sore necks. The bathroom door had no latch and there was no way to secure it, so it would fall open (was unreachable from the toilet area). There was no cook while we were there so we only had access to water (had to pay for it) or drinks. The location is not in the main area of Hopkins but a short distance down the road - rather long walk in the sun or rain but easily accessibly by the bikes that jeannie offers. If you are backpacking through the area it would be a nice place to stay - very expensive for what you actually get. Otherwise, you might want to look around for alternate accommodations.

Fantastic place next to the ocean. Relaxing and peaceful. The owner is a really nice lady full of energy. The cabanas are welcoming and the restaurant is very pretty. For dinner we had a good home made plate with rice, fish and vegetables, we all enjoyed it. I definitely recommend it!

Friendly staff. This is a 30 minute walk outside the village. If you plan on hanging out onsite, the place is beautiful and relaxing. If you plan on hanging out at bars at night and walking back to your room, this is not a good location for you. They provide bikes, but a bunch of them were broken when we were here, so I wouldn't count on the bikes.
