Although the weekend was rainy, the property gave off a relaxing feel that I took full advantage of - just what I needed after a long week. The people were friendly and very helpful and most importantly, food was in reach, and reasonably priced for a weekend getaway. ABACO Bahamas is a great place to visit if I do say so myself. 😊
Nice marina and we've rented boats many times from there. Public pool at marina along with the Tipsy Seagull bar. Also, either Wednesdays or Thursdays is pizza night and that gets super busy, but everyone in town goes there. Go early to get a table. There will be live music or karaoke and always sports games on several of the TVs.
Something for everyone! Everything you need is onsite. Coco’s is a great beachfront restaurant with an awesome new chef. Most beautiful beach with powder sand. Swimming pigs and awesome wildlife. Ask for an updated room.
Awesome location but a bit pricy
We spent 10 days here in the marina for a family vacation over the holidays. Best time, so laid back and easy going. People are so friendly here. Loved using a golf cart to get around and pizza night on Thursday is fun. Karaoke on Friday and the ever smashing Goombay smash at happy hour. Rent a boat and explore the islands, find Willard, to guide you lobster fishing. Amazing time and can't wait to get back.
I wanted to take the time to post a review to all the fine Folks that run this resort. This is one of the most professional and friendly staff's that I have had the pleasure to deal with. I spend about 200 nights a year in Hotels in the US mainland and these folks ranked with the best of them. I will say this and not in a negative way but more as a suggestion: The furniture and TV's do need to be upgraded but the items are serviceable and adequate. The maid staff are always willing to do whatever possible and the Front Desk Staff and Manager are really super People and always willing to do whatever they can to help you. I am looking forward to my next trip to Treasure Cay Resort.
Beautiful beach (rates among the ten best beaches) for its powdery, white sand, stretching for miles and crystal clear water. Good customer service. Many amenities, including four restaurants, tennis courts, swimming pool, Dick Wilson designed golf course, marina.
House on the beach. Part of a large development. Probably not the "real Bahamas".
Terrible CUSTOMER Service. Because my flight was cancelled into MHH from ATL due to snow and all flights were cancelled for the date of my arrival (12-9-17) and after learning this news I quickly called the Hotel and asked that they allow me to move my Reservation ahead by just 1 day and they quickly told me that I could move it ahead 1 day but I still would have to pay for the night that I wasn't going to be able to be there. Sounds and looks like a Hotel that puts PROFIT'S long before Customer Service. They must really need the MONEY so I am wondering what kind of shape this hotel is really in now, so I guess I will see when I arrive on 12-10-17. This may be a very "long" week at a Hotel that just doesn't care or understand that them or no one else will ever control Mother Nature. Please consider all that I have said when booking with them. So now I'm wondering if they had a Tropical Storm/Hurricane that forced their closing would they allow their Customer's to impose a nightly penalty on them.I would bet NOT. I just wished that I would have been able to give them 0 Stars.
Place feels a bit worn and dated. Everything associated with marina is outrageously overpriced. All their restaurants and bars seem overhyped. The one big plus this that they seemingly have everything you could really need right on property.
I just got back to the states after spending my 30th birthday at Treasure Cay with my husband and two friends. It is absolute paradise. The beaches there are like nothing I've ever seen and I have never felt such warmth from locals while traveling! We went to see the pigs on no name cause and snorkeled around the reef, tropical fish are beautiful! I had relaxing days on the beach outside cocos with tasty and strong "Miami vice" frozen drinks. All the food was delicious. I cannot think of a better way to have brought in a new decade. Avis was extremely helpful for everything about our stay, and the bar staff was so much fun. At tipsy bar they have dancing and a DJ. I even swam with dolphins, a bucket list item since I can remember! We grilled fish that the guys had caught on a trip that day. Do bring a card from a major bank or cash, we have a credit union and didn't have any luck with our card at the ATM. There is a little breakfast spot that takes cash only and they have amazing eggs and grits and cinnamon buns! I'm already planning a return trip!
Needs major work. Not clean but the beach makes up for it all. Prices are best in the area.
Treasure Cay Beach, Marina and Golf Resort is a very nice place. The location is nice, it has an airport and the beach and sea are magnificent!!! There are a lot of activities to do and people to meet. The room I was in was clean and hughe, it even had a washing machine and a dryer. The staff was really nice. Hope to be back soon!
Beautiful, but bring your own food. The prices are outrageous.
Secluded top-notch non-commercial hotel next to one of the world's best beaches. Awesome!
I didn't stay here, but they have a great pool and bar area, Tipsy's, with friendly staff and good food. There is grocery store and other shops on premises, very convenient. The beach nearby is the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen in my life.
Pool near the bar and across road is a great beach and restaurant!
Places very beautiful amazing views and The Price is pretty good. As a convenience store the supermarket and even a pharmacy. Is a place where you can rent golf carts.
The facility is okay. The views are beautiful, but the rooms need updating and maintenance. The faucets are old and broken, we moved because our first room had broken faucets to a room with leaking shower heads. It's lack of maintenance. The decor is old n worn. What do we pay maintenance fees for? Food, staff, pool, and general overall needs met well above expectations.
Stayed here for 2 weeks
Staff was amazing
Very accommodating
Prices are steep because it's a small island
We expect this and it is not a deterrent for us to go back
Beaches beyond amazing
facilities shabby (ie. 2 broken window mechanisms allowing rain in) but staff very competent.
When I checked in to the hotel I was a little hesitant because of the sectchy staff, so when I walked throw the door into the room filled with cigarette smoke. I could tell it was a hole in the wall. The hotel had dirt and bugs on the floor, it had to be impossible that the cleaning crew came. The beds had bugs and hair in them. The hotel was full of bugs about the size of quarters crawling on the walls. I immediately left the room and walked over to the front desk. The staff was rude and nasty, and will do nothing to help you. This place is a complete hole in the wall. I do not recommend staying here, unless you like sleeping with roaches. Enjoy your stay:)
