One month before our reservation at the Royal Bohemian on Nassau where our daughter was to be married and a few days after taking our final payments Sandals Resort canceled our reservation in order to close the resort and renovate. They offered to change us to a different resort but anything comparable was booked up. There was no offer to give us a discount for our inconvenience or any other solution other than to change our dates or wait for the resort to reopen. They did offer $500 to help offset flight ticket changes. This was to be a wedding destination involving multiple reservations. You don't just change your dates, your vacation time from work, your flight tickets, your childcare arrangements AND the large wedding reception planned once we all came home for the many family and friends who could not join us in the Bahamas. The phone communication is 3rd world. I spent hours on hold trying to find an alternate resort, literally. When we decided to just get a refund it took 2 1/2 hours and 3 calls. We have to wait 6-7 weeks to get our money. Shady unprofessional business. Never again. This company sucks. Don't trust Sandals Resorts.

Booked the Royal Bohemian April 12 for mid May. Was told it would be open. Two days later found out it not going to open until November. So I called back to get a refund and they said sure. Great right. But no you will receive your refund in 27-31 days. Now I’m out $4,000 for 30 days. They should be able to refund the money just as quick as they took it. This problem needs to be fixed.

Absolutely beautiful here! Perfect weather! The room was perfect. I absolutely loved sitting on the balcony. All of the staff are so friendly and quick to help! The restaurants here are top notch!! The food was amazing! They had a pool for relaxing on one side and a pool for fun on the other. I highly recommend this place! I plan to go back again someday.

I will start that we have not yet stayed at this resort, we will be staying here in the middle of May 2018. We did however stay at the Sandals in Antigua for two weeks for our honeymoon in May of 2016; that stay could not have been better, absolutely fantastic. The reason for my review today is the 'policies' in place by Sandals. My wife booked our trip on April 19th, I found five days later there is a significant discount for the same room, during the same period of time (about 20% or $841). I called simply asking they honor the new rate being provided and was told that since we are within 30 days of travel we cannot have our rate adjusted (not sure correlation there is between a policy of changing a reservation and providing a different rate..but OK). I then asked what concessions can be made for us (Spa credit, dinner on the beach, resort credit) basically anything so I don't feel like I'm getting robbed of almost a grand. They said there is nothing they can do. I truly feel this is something that needs to be addressed, going by the letter of the law in a policy is causing Sandals future business and I'm not sure upper management knows this is happening. I tried to explain to the customer service rep that if they do not make any concessions they will be loosing our business for any trip in the future. We are both 30, so there is a solid 30 years of travel to Sandals resorts they are missing out on over an $841 dollar discount. Just seems like a terrible business as well as financial move on their part. For reference, between these two trips we have spent about 15K at Sandals in two years, extrapolate that out over 30 more years, they are loosing out on $225,000 worth of travel from us over $841just makes no business sense.

Our stay was a great time. We were treated with respect and the staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were all happy. Lots of activities and things to do. The island was fun although the bugs could sometimes be a pain. Only getting 4 stars due to the price and bugs around the island. Other than that, we had a great time and loved our stay.

My boyfriend and I spent last week at Sandals Royal Bahamian and we absolutely loved it! We were hesitant at first and had no idea what to expect but the staff and resort exceeded our expectations. Being a younger couple we were nervous we would be the youngest, but there was an excellent range of age from young honeymooners to older couples who have been going to Sandals for 20 plus years. We opted for a beach front butler suite and it was great! Our view and our butlers were amazing. The private island was our favorite part of the resort and we went 3 of the 5 days. At night we really enjoyed sitting by the many fire pits, and singing along at the piano bar! The Spa was excellent and the airport transfer in the Rolls Royce was second to none. Our only complaint from the entire trip was the pools were freezing! It is sad because the beautiful pools and swim up bars were mostly empty due to how cold they were! Anyways, we booked to go to another Sandals location next March and can't wait!

Property should be renamed to Indulge because that's what we did. This all inclusive vacation was amazing and honestly we can't wait to go back. The food isn't anything to write home about but certainly satisfactory. The staff are so friendly and made everyone feel like a VIP. The private island was superb. We went almost every day to snorkel with the sea turtles. We also partook in the couple massage and was completely dreamy. When are trip was coming to an end and we were boarding our shuttle to take us to the airport, i felt like i was doing the walk of shame because i didn't want to leave.

Treated like royals in luxurious surroundings. We were transported to the resort in a shiny Rolls Royce. Stayed in the Windsor one bedroom suite. Our Butler and supporting staff anticipated our desires even before we did! They obviously made mental notes of our likes/dislikes and bent over backwards to ensure that we had a wonderful stay.
A lot of activities, great food, entertainment, shopping, night life, music and the best diving!

Fantastic!! We went to celebrate our 15 year anniversary and the entire staff made us feel like we were the only people there. Our butlers, (Anastasia, Nicola and Kevin) would bring us drinks before we even asked for them. No one ever told us no. If you can spring for the butler, do it! They were worth every penny. We never had to wait in line at a bar. Dinner was always extra special with white glove service and special decorated tables.

Butler service for the ultimate reward. This was our first Sandals visit, certainly won't be our last. The quiet pool was relaxing and suited my wife and I quite nicely. The room was wonderfully kept. The food was hit or almost miss, depending on the restaurant we went to. Gordons never disappointed though! Great memories, and I can't wait until the next one.

Loved my stay here this past week! Already booked another trip for next winter. The management and staff are so helpful and sweet, Sandals is really unlike any other place. Food is lovely, property is well kept, and there are plenty of activities and entertainment. Favorite part is the off shore island..beautiful!!!!

Nice place to relax. The Sandals Royal Bahamian is a bit dated, but clean. The weather in February was 82 and sunny. Food venues are varied and tasty. Two pools and private beaches surround the resort and it's half of discovery island. All inclusive? Only for food and drinks. If you want to do anything extra it is extra and not cheap. But it's a very relaxing place to spend a few days. The staff is amazing and very friendly.

Sandals was an amazing experience. The Nassau location was especially fun because they have a private island off the shore. The island had many fun items as well as many private little spots to hang out. They also had these little cute beach crabs on the island as well. There was excellent food and the staff is incredible. The views from the rooms were all excellent.

One of the most beautiful places I've ever been. We loved everything about it, the best part is the private island across from the main resort. You can spent an entire day just relaxing they have everything you need to please your needs. Highly recommended!

Don’t waste your time or money here. Especially on the butler service. 1 of our three butlers, Leon, was excellent. The other two, we never met. With butler service, they’re supposed to cater to your every whim. Who wouldn’t want that for vacation? With the butler service you’re supposed to have the upper hand with getting into restaurants and etc, Leon, bless his heart, did everything right and went above and beyond to get us everything we asked or wanted to do, but once his shift was over it’s like we didn’t exist for the other two. For example, we asked our other butler, shakira, to have ice brought to our room by six every night so we’d have ice, NOT ONCE did this happen. We called her to see if we could get coconut rum brought to the room and added to the mini bar. Her response: “that’s a special request to do that.” SERIOUSLY! Is that not what I’m doing right now on the phone with you, Requesting you bring us some? Same with toothpaste. We forgot to bring some and called to see if we could get some and was told they sold it at the gift shop. COME ON. And we never got reservations at the restaurants we requested if we asked the other two butlers. We finally got so sick of watching other customers get in to restaurants before us with their butlers when we had a “reservation” but was asked to sit and wait we finally went and complained to management. All they really did was say sorry. Nothing was done to rectify it. Expectations were not met. Money not well spent. Will not be back. Go literally anywhere else!

Great resort, lots of pools, lots of bars, lots of restaurants, lots of things to do.
It has a private island (well shared with Caribbean Cruise Lines), but once you are on there you won't even notice. Crystal clear water out on the island, ocean hammocks. Red Lane spa (massage in private huts with great views, full spa in main building).

Villas with garden outside tubs are a sight to behold. That is the only place to stay when you are there. It's like your own private house. Two TV's, living room, huge bathroom, outside soaking tub. Amazing lighting. Each room is different so it all varies a little, some have stairs, others are on the ground level.

Swim up suites are interesting, you walk out onto your patio and into the pool. Nice and secluded from the main loud pools.

All inclusive, fully stocked fridges and lots of liquor in your room. The butler suites are nice, everything and anything can be brought to you. You can even order five entrees is you wish (a few people do, I hear).

The Pub has some of the best food there, and very, very fast service. The coffee could be better and, powdered eggs in Spices for breakfast Most of the lettuce for salads is swimming in water. Overall, the food is a 4 out of 5.

**PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING A TRIP** Me and my wife booked a 7 Day trip with Sandals in the Bahamas and it was by far the worst vacation I’ve ever been on. When we first walked into our room the first thing we saw was poop in our toilet. If that was our only issue I would have let this slide but I can write a book of all the problems that occurred. Here are a few; three different times at three different restaurants at the resort me and my wife ordered food where the waiter or waitress disappeared and our food never came. Other times there was disgustingly long waits, there where times where only part of our orders came out, or the food was over cooked or under cooked. Some staff was nice but then there was staff that was very rude. For instance my wife ordered a chicken dish and fish came out, her absolutely hating seafood sent the food back and the waiter caught an attitude. Aside from the crappy service at the restaurants, the pool bars where filled with bees, going into blenders and into drinks and the bar tenders had no problem serving them anyway.
What really is getting on my nerves is that there was an alarm going off right next to our room one of the nights we were there. From about 11:30pm-7:00 am. We called the front desk, ran around looking for management and we were shrugged off as if we were being annoying. A normal resort would have updated a guests room and comp them for a night or two.They didn’t do anything for us but eventually take $50 off the bill after continually complaining. A vacation I spent about $6000 on, this is an insulting way to try and rectify the situation. We couldn’t even enjoy the next day because we were so tired from not getting any sleep. I have discussed this all to management there and they sent me to another area to speak to other staff which was just more waste of my vacation time I paid for. All they tried to do was get me to book another vacation and spend more money. Then seeing how dissatisfied I was told me to go through my travel agent to handle it. My travel agent told me Sandals refused to do anything but offer points for another trip. I called Sandals corporate myself and they refused to compensate me in any way but to give me points which only add up to about $300 towards my next trip. This to me is not resolving the issue. This is a method of paying for another over priced vacation with crappy service. I paid for what was supposed to be relaxation and exquisite service and I did not receive either. Normally when someone pays for something and what they got was not what they paid for they are due a refund. They refuse to do the right thing.

This place is amazing! Everyone is so friendly and they try to fulfill every request you have in a timely manner. We had a butler Balmoral suite on the fifth floor facing the ocean. The view was spectacular! Our three butlers were Ailyn, Leon, and Shakera. They were the BEST! We loved them. Very special people! They made our stay so memorable and happy! There was never a lack of things to do. Going out to the island was so fun! It never felt crowded and the swimming/snorkling was wonderful. Every night you could go to a different restaurant and enjoy great food! The lobster out on the island was my favorite! Sandals really knows how to take care of you and provide a wonderful vacation experience! October 15 - 22, 2017

I arrived at the hotel 2hours ago and still haven’t received my luggage which they insisted on delivering to the room. I’ve called the front desk 4 times and each time I was told it’ll be up shortly, or someone is checking on it! For the amount of money the resort charges this is a terrible first impression and there is nothing premium or Luxury about the service thus far!

Can't say enough good about this place. Went for our ten year anniversary and it was awesome. Tons to do. On site night club, several restaurants. Definitely make a reservation for the hibachi restaurant - definitely an experience!

Amazing Scuba Diving!!! Dived everyday from 8:30 am to about 1 pm, 2 dives per day. Then enjoyed the resort! Beats Sandals LaToc in my opinion for beautiful clear water and sunsets!

This place is simply amazing, if you write a bad review you're simply a douche. Great good, drinks, an awesome atmosphere. It's an island so expect shoreline and water, lots of water. Be careful of taxi drivers trying to get you a trip anywhere, it's a set up. 20 bucks now and later ya get ya money back, nope . Don't do it lol. If ya want to have a good time, come here. You'll never have it so good. Only thing I wouldn't do, candle lot dinner on the beach. Wind , sand , food not a good combination. Great experience already booked out next trip,

I'm writing this review poolside, and while I haven't experienced everything here yet, overall it is a positive. My wife and I had stayed at a couple secrets resorts since getting married, and didn't want to spend another vacation in Mexico. While the price averages $1000 higher per trip, we definitely feel the price is worth it when comparing the quality between resort brands.

Definitely get the oceanfront room with a butler. It is a place for couples. All-inclusive food and drinks are very good. Beautiful beaches clear water and white sand.

This place was awesome. The water was beautiful and the sand was always well maintained. The rooms were very nice with a comfortable mattress and soft sheets. We had an issue with our A/C making a lot of noise. It took two calls to the concierge to get fixed but it did get fixed.
The food was good at all the restaurants we dined. One word of advice is if you want to go to the Japanese restaurant, make your reservation a few weeks before you go. If you don't, you won't get in.

We had such a good time, I don't think anywhere else could compare. Can't wait to see the other Sandals resorts. Just make sure if you have an excursion cancelled that you get your money back. Had a hard time getting it back but after many calls I finally got it refunded

Most of the staff were great. The all inclusive was a great price but they make up for that in how much the spa & pictures cost. Food was good for the most part. The drive shop next to the Windsor tower were pretty rude and not inviting. Loved the swim up bars and sunset bar on the pier. Also wish someone would have mention that I needed to bring PANTS. You'll need them to get into some of their restaurants. I had to go out and buy pants. The gift shop had literally 2 pairs and none were my size, which forced me to shop elsewhere.

If you are thinking about booking a stay in the Bahamas and are looking for a nice romantic getaway, this is the place to go! The resort is beautiful, the staff is awesome, and there is plenty to do. No kids running around screaming, no crazy spring breakers, just a nice relaxing atmosphere. I'm already booking our second trip!

Out of the sandals resorts I've been to this has been my least favorite. Constantly have to ask room service for items like soap and coffee bags. The beach smells like sewer. Great scenery. They have 1/2 a private island, the other half is for cruise guests only. Wear pants if you dine on the island in the evening, you WILL be eaten alive by bugs if your not prepared.

A great place to stay for couples, or adults who do not want to vacation with children around. The staff works very hard to accommodate any and all needs. Never had an issue getting in an on site restaurant for any meal. Room service was excellenton time and no errors. The off shore island is a great get-a-way. It was easy to go in to town, the staff gave great hints about how to get there, where to eat and drink. Security checks you in and out when going to town, so there is a good feeling of security. Royal Bahamian butlers rock!!! We will definitely re-visit this vacation destination!
