Enjoyed the beach, food was good, the weather was fine, & the place was nice. Mind you, more of a state-side type of hotel, so if you're looking for a very Caribbean, tropical sort of hutsy place, this one isn't it.

I had an amazing time here and I loved everything. The staff were so good we tipped them a lot. The food they had was delicious but there is a bird problem on the outside of the buffet. I loved the themes they had as when we arrived, we were tired and it was 5:00 so we went to the seafood gala and we felt like skydiving we were so happy. The pool bottom is rough and the bar is busy but we couldn't care less about the problems. The prop club was the highlight of the trip as we played on the beach for an hour and then would get a burger and wings and then do something else they had to offer. The shows were magnificent and the actors were amazing. I hope everyone can have he best experience and don't listen to the bad reviews, listen to the good ones

I stayed at this hotel in Sept 2016. I absolutely LOVED the island. When we were there we rented scooters and explored the island. EVERYONE that we meet off the resort was amazing and friendly. The resort itself was alright. The food selection was limited especially after 9pm. The only place is the Prop Club where the food was not so great and service was even worse. The alcohol selection was poor and all activities ended at 6pm. There was a nightly show at 9pm everynight but that was it. IF you are looking for a vacation on a great island on a decent beach for a cheap price, this would work perfect for you. If you want more selection and stimulation, this is not the place. Also, room service was not 24 hours. Most of the staff that we encountered almost seemed bothered by our presence also.

The island is beautiful! The resort is nice. Our overall experience was average. The activities/excursions we went on were fun and the views were gorgeous. The part that was a real let down for us was the lack of friendliness from the staff. We requested a king bed when booking our trip months in advance and none were available when we arrived. Took 2 days before they moved us. No one at the desk ever seemed available to help, but there were always staff around to harass you into listening to their timeshare crap. The 1 hour presentation turned into a 4 hour tour. Big waste of time. The steakhouse and hibachi restaurant are a must!! Absolutely delicious and great service. We ate at the buffet often and were through with our first plates before anyone came to offer us something to drinkhappened every day. If you're looking for a great snorkeling experience, book a trip to Paradise Cove directly on their website. This is where we had the best snorkeling experience and much cheaper than booking through the resort. Grand Bahama Island offers a beautiful vacation experience for those looking for fun and those just wanting to relax, but this particular resort did not offer us anything spectacular.

The location is beautiful! The reason for 3 stars is the employee friendliness. No one smiles or has any sense of urgency at all. They have a Japanese restaurant inclusive to the resort. If you want to eat there. You have to wait in a line on the morning of your dinning. The line opens at 11 but the line starts forming around 10 and then they tell you they can only seat 35 guests per night. Its completely unacceptable to me. When I am trying to enjoy my vacation the last thing I want to do is wait in an hour long line to be told I will have to wait again later in the week to eat there.
